Be careful when reinserting the screws for the plastic cover - almost killed my display panel by screwing in too hard

EXCELLENT VIDEO! Just the DIY video I was looking for. I have been using my OnePlus 7T Pro (running 24/7) since January 2020... not once has it been off. Using it for exactly 2 years now (heavy user here 😅), battery is showing its age. I plan to replace the battery for a new one in about two months.

It was one of the very best phones to own when it released... I have recommended it to friends during the two years; YES, it got succeeded multiple times in its class, but, it was decidedly affordable for its high-end specs. When I bought the phone two years ago, my plan was to replace it in early 2022 with the OnePlus 10 Pro, but its overall impressive performance and OnePlus' official support for the device ending October 2022, I have extended usage to early 2023; so battery replacement is on the horizon. Let me know how the battery swap process went for you.

Hey, I do a lot of 3D printing and the bed on my printer can heat up to 120C, do you think I can use it in place of the heatpad you used in the video?

Not sure if anyone will come across this, but I just did this with my printer bed at 80C and it worked well! I didn't have the suction cup tool but my fingernail + credit card was enough to get the cover off haha

I just discovered my OnePlus battery is swelling because it is constantly charging. Dumb but that is what did it. I use the phone for work only and its not my daily but I'm not ready to part with it. It's called engineered obsolescence.

After factory resetting or battery replacement, you have to fully charge your phone, update, restart, and it should work. I had this problem.

You can use it, but it will still charge it as original one (30W or so). There should be no more battery degradation than with the original one.

Yes, it can go up to that, but do not heat for like 2-5 minutes straight..Because sometimes glue comes out easily and some are not..Step by step will be the best.

@@nildesperandum2034 Because by removing the back cover once, you break the waterproof sealing. If you glue it right back with B7000/T7000 glue, a bit of water probably won't harm the phone, since the glue itself is water repellant. But I wouldn't trust it with my life.
