Can we talk about the biggest improvement over the 6t is USB 3.1? As a content creator it'll make transferring any files into it's massive storage of 256 GB so much faster. The fingerprint reader is a little bigger and faster. You get a little stereo action with the earpiece acting as a leftside firing speaker. But really the only reason I turned away from the 6t was it's USB 2.0 and made me look at other midrange phones. Also not a fan of the 7 pro's pop up camera.

I got mine for $400 at the end of 2019, and I only plan to upgrade once the pixel 8 series comes out. The phone has been great so far, battery is falling slightly at 78% but it is still fine for me as the charging is quick and I can use a power bank or laptop to charge it if needed. My only two complaints about this phone are the camera and the software updates. I have just upgraded to android 12 when android 13 is already out, and the camera is definitely something to be desired. However, for what I paid, this has been a great experience, and the phone still looks amazing. One I get my pixel 8 I will probably miss the bright red of this phone and clean design as well as the removal of the alert slider and the volume and power button on the same side.

Fnatic and zen mode are more like a gimmick than a feature, but I have to agree that there if the speakers are as good and the phone feels as snappy, it's a crazy good experience. Also I have to say that I freaking love the vibration motor (or haptic motor, I don't really know how to call it) on the 7 pro. If that's on the 7 as well, then you should go for it (or for the K20 pro which is half the price)

I've been using my OnePlus 7 for over 5 years now, and I just ordered the new iPhone 16 Pro Max to upgrade. Watching old review videos of my OnePlus 7 is making me feel nostalgic. This phone has been by my side for the past 5 years and I grew very attached to it, gonna take a while for me to move on from this.

My bro & me been using our new OP 7 devices from last 2 weeks and nevertheless pretty impressed by its performance...save a couple of naggles/bugs...the auto brightness sensor goes crazy frequently and often have to adjust it manually...also the haptic feedback quality has reduced after recent updates & the ambient screen waking with notifications doesn't work truly...am on Oxygen OS 9.5.7 with 1st June 2019 security update...eagerly checking for updates to have these fixed on our phones...have posted in the Oneplus community forums on this too...

Dang, I thought sure they'd bring over the improved vibration motor. Sad. BUT the OP7 has UFS 3.0, which is definitely still a win! Also the shorter device... My current phone already barely fits in my pockets, and the 7 Pro is almost 10mm taller. Was strongly considering the Zenfone 6 at first, but what killed it for me was: UFS 2.1, rear fingerprint sensor, and no USB OTG. I really use OTG a lot, and not a fan of rear fingerprint sensors. Also, who knows if the Zenfone 6 would still be running smoothly in 2 years, where OnePlus has a track record of no performance dip over time.
