Hello! Was just wondering, what was your impression of the doodle chaos case as a protection case? Is the material sturdy and reliable enough to offer the phone some protection against small drops perhaps?

I like the Doodle Chaos case. It's not as rough as sandstone but it's not slippy. I think it would give just as much protection as the sandstone case.

Hi thanks. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Just popped the Nord 2 into one of the sandstone cases and I can see that there's a slight raised ridge around the camera hole on the case that means the camera lenses are slightly recessed when in the case. Good and clear review, is the protection okay? Or are the edges on the screen not ‘bump resitant’ enough, they seem quite flat but that could also be my fault! I hope they’ll also sell a transparant case with a card holder somewhere. Do you think those will be produced?

Yes, the Nord 2 has a flat display (I'm not a fan of curved screens either). The frame of the phone does curve out a little so the screen won't be the first point of contact, but I think the frame is only polycarbonate and not metal so it might be wise to have some protection. I'm not sure that OP have ever produced a transparent case with card holder but I'm sure something will appear on Amazon / ebay soon enough.

I like the sandstone case - but does it add a lot of bulk ? For my it looks like it. i am bating just buying a generic TPU Case with a good rating for 8 bucks instead like i had before on my LG G2 and G6. They also did a good job protecting without making the phones much bigger. Or ist it worth the quality case for 20 ?

Cases are really personal so take what I say only as a guide. All three cases (the two Sandstone and the Doodle Chaos) are exactly the same dimensions but I sometimes think the Sandstone case feels a little bigger because it's rougher, even though it's not actually bigger. My favourite is the Doodle Chaos - it's smooth without being slippy - but I appreciate it's not everyone's cup of tea, as they say. My personal favourites are the leather cases from Stilgut, but they don't have versions out yet for the recent models (9, Nord 2).

Hello, I have faced a concern in my one 7T that if put the clear cover with one plus tempered glass than cover start pushing the tempered and creates bubble around edges. Have you checked the one Nord 2 with that aspect? Ps: I have recently bought the Nord 2 and one plus tempered but waiting for the reviews for this concern.

Sorry, I don't have a tempered glass screen protector. The one that comes preinstalled isn't glass.

It's a personal choice. If I remember there is a clear bumper case in the box with the phone so you can protect your phone out of the box. The sandstone effect is kind of OnePlus' thing going back to their first phones. It's definitely grippy.

Yes, there's a small ridge round the camera hole on the case so it'll keep the lenses off the table.
