Trevor, I have six of them and zero problems. I know that doesn't help you directly but maybe try resetting them and re-pairing? Are they far from the hub, is there a thick wall or sheet metal in the way?

Does a reflector like a bicycle reflector make the camera go fuzzy? We had someone tape a bicycle reflector in the bush across from the camera and I think it made it not work properly. Might have to upgrade to a better camera or maybe they are all succeptible to this?

Never heard of that but I will see if I can find a reflector and try it out. #curious

Thanks Andrew… my tado kit is arriving next week. Looking forward to saving on my heating bills! At least I won’t need to go into each room and manually adjust the TRVs every time I want to change the room temp now. 😅

That's great news. I'm not sure where you are in the world, but assuming that you are in the Northern Hemisphere and summer's coming, you'll probably not see huge benefits for a few months. One tip I'd suggest is to set your thermostats colder than you'd really expect to start. There are a couple of reasons for this...i) The TRVs on the radiators are always a bit lower so register cooler than the middle of the room ii) personally, I find it easier to spot when I'm a bit cold and gently tweak settings upwards iii) it saves you money from the beginning.
@celia_matthews_

Thanks Andrew… I’ve only been sent the wireless receiver (programmer) to wire to my boiler along with 8 TRVs - but should they have sent me a bridge connection and wireless room stat too?
@GNCandrew
@GNCandrew 2 ай бұрын
If you bought some kind of Starter Kit, then yes it should have come with a bridge and thermostat. It varies on the exact Starter Kit whether the thermostat is wired or wireless (mine was wired), but yes.

Hi, what can i use to charge the powerbank? On the description on amazon, it says if i use 10watts charger, it will take 10.5 hours. Can i use higher than 10watts charger?
@GNCandrew
@GNCandrew 2 ай бұрын
I don't think that the PowerBank supports any fast charging standards while charging itself. In my experience it does take overnight to charge, even when connected to an Anker charger. It's a big old battery! In practice, I rarely fully discharge it and it's more topping it up from 50%-ish.

Wow a Enoksen review!!! I've bought 4 of their watches since they started up. Great service and great no fuss watches. They have even phoned me up on occasion to ask my thoughts on watches etc. Oh yes and also did me a special one off auto version of one of their quartz watches. I have the Roam and its a great knock about 'holiday adventure' watch. Would love a Pepsi bezel option though.

Hi, yes, the folks over at Enoksen are great. I have a blue/bonze Fly as well, but haven't picked up a Krono yet and I'm a bit tempted by the big 46 mm Fly. Too much choice, not enough cash!

thank you. all done. i actually bought the recent 4k stick. some things on the start up screen are a bit different. I also didn't need to add a credit card (had to exit). Plus - THANK YOU for saying the usb part of it can just be plugged into the tv. It says low battery or something but it's still working. I'm sure I will have to power it at some point. Do you know if there's a way of adding music to the homescreen? I have dynamic wallpaper but it's a bit dull. With Sky they always have an active channel (live tv) playing within the menu, is it possible to get something similar in the menu for roku?

Great video! Just to confirm, I'm getting this for my mom, she has a Panasonic NOT smart TV and I want her to be able to have Netflix, HBO and Disney on it. Would this work, without needing any other devices? (like a smartphone, laptop, etc which are needed with Chromecast). She does have WiFi at home. Many, many thanks, you're lovely! 😊
@GNCandrew

I'm in the UK, so can't comment on HBO, but definitely Netflix and Disney are available over here and yes, you don't need anything else. Sometimes a smartphone helps with entering passwords, but voice input of passwords letter by letter is now available on some apps, which makes it even easier!

@@GNCandrew First, it does not remove slightly harder dirt, in the kitchen, the upper plate above the brushes is difficult to adjust and the plastic underneath has already broken and I glued it twice, the seals on it quickly failed so I had to replace them. If you apply the prescribed amount of product RM536 after drying, the smooth tiles are beautiful when you walk on them, if you apply less it is as if you did not apply any. The device is simply rubbish compared to similar products of the same purpose and price. Now I use it once a month.

Nice cases, I've had them for many years. However, after 2 years of delivery problems (one took almost 3 months from south France to Almeria, which i could have cycled to pick it up and be home earlier, I searched for alternatives, and found many, many with same superior workmanship, at 50-70% of price, and delivery in days . I appreciate Noreve's shop-stock can be sent quicker, but if you want something not in the shop, the customer services try their utmost to take what they have, so I guess there is a shortage, bottleneck somewhere at the back of the company.
@GNCandrew
@GNCandrew 3 ай бұрын
Just out of interest, who have you been using as alternatives? Stilgut seems to have stopped doing cases for the newer OnePlus devices and Noreve's cases seemed to interfere with wireless charging.

Nice review!! Yah, the Enoksen Roam GMT is a high quality superbly crafted GMT and like all of the watches in the Enoksen Collections, it is robust enough to hit the outdoors , whether it be on land, in the air or the water(300m WR), which, while it was not designed as a Diver, as a Diver has a uni-directional bezel, if one is swimming, canoeing, hiking or mixing land with water, the Roam is would make a superb choice, as 300m/1000' is 800-900' more water resistant than most of my luxury GMT's, with my Rolly GMT Master II being 100m WR. It currently MSRP's at $488USD(02/02/2024), which is an outstanding value for such a high quality piece!! Having collected luxury pieces for 43+ years, while spending 18+ of those in the biz as a co-proprietor of a luxury vintage/pre-owned store, the last 9+ as a Swiss Certified Master Maison(CSOMH), I rarely wear my luxury pieces regularly, so a few years ago I was looking for one of the small independent houses in which to purchase some pieces that could be my daily wears. The virtual world horological scene was/is littered with kids who didn't even own a mechanical watch 5-10 years ago, knew/know even less about horology or watches, yet they were crowd sourcing and e-begging for money to produce chinese sh!t💩 watches, IF they didn't run out of money prior to delivering to all those that had pre-ordered.and pre-paid for watches that they would never see in the metal. Then I came across Hans & Enoksen. Let me just say that I have had the good fortune to travel the world, both for training and for pleasure, and Hans is hands down one of THE Classiest, Kindest & Dignified ken that I have met in my 43+ years around the industry!! Though he has fantastic employees in Oliver and others, Hans oversees all aspects of his business, and if you have a problem, issue or just a question, you can call, and if Hans doesn't answer the phone, they will get him for you!! How often does one get to speak with the owner of the company of the product that you are using!! Also, the Roam, with the rotating 24hr bezel, can keep up to three(3) times zones, so it truly is a "world" timer!! Having most of the Enoksen watches, I have not had a single problem with any, and they are running beautifully!! I just picked up the salmon colored chronograph, which is friggin gorgeous!! They offer four dial colors.... enoksenwatches.com/products/enoksen-krono-e08-d-salmon-steel-39mm Continued Success with your channel🍻 RP

Hello, we will connect it to this solar energy panel (the panel is 12v, there is a step-down device at its output to 5v, so it gives 5v) We set the timer and let it run at 09:00 in the morning. The sun rises at 07:30, so this device will detect the first moment of operation as 07:30. In this case, will the timer we set for 09:00 be activated at the right time, or does it start counting down after the device starts working? Or let's say the electricity went out and came back... Can it preserve the time in its memory?
@GNCandrew
@GNCandrew 6 ай бұрын
I don't know the answer to this as I control mine via SmartThings, so the SmartThings hub sends the on-off commands. I'm really not sure how much built-in intelligence there is - my suspicion would be that even if you use the ewelink app, it's your phone or the ewelink web servers that send the message. I'll maybe do an experiment with an RF pouch.

I would like to use it to be powered from my USB powerbank and then set a timer to power USB fan. My worry is that even on standby when the fan is not running, this Sonoff USB Smart Adaptor will kill my powerbank in no time because I presume that it is connected to wifi all the time. Is there some power saving feature where I could just set a timer and then have it disconnected from wifi to save power ?

@GNCandrew

There is a complementary app called eWeLink which allows you to set timers and similar. The big win though is when you integrate it with a smart home system like SmartThings or Hue and you can get it to turn on and off due to external events such as getting dark or motion in the room.

Cheryl, there's very little to choose from them in terms of functionality. The installation of the stick can be neater as it can often hide behind the TV though do check the position of the HDMI sockets on the TV. With the Express you need line of sight between the remote and the Express unit as it uses infrared.

@GNCandrew
@GNCandrew 11 ай бұрын
Yes, the hub needs to be hardwired into your home network. Although it's a bit annoying, it's often done like this to ensure service / feed / stream quality between the hub and the cameras. When I've had the situation that the hub is far from the router, I've used Powerline adapters. There can be some 'gotchas' with those such as when your house has multiple circuits so maybe borrow or buy secondhand until you know it works. Devolo is reliable brand in that space.
