Where the bigger cores do take a toll is in heavy tasks like photo editing, gaming, etc. He doesn't do too much of that, it's a varied test. Oneplus's 12R has good battery life as well, what excuse do you have for that?

@@ashar8192 tbh, I don't have the a55, all i said was based on what i know about the 1480 and on what i've seen about it cause i was really excited (his amd gpu is a monster) But i'm desappointed that it got such a bad reputation since the 2200 (in reality the gpu was too powerful for it time when it was out, it had the geekbench graphic score as the 8 gen 2, wich is (to me) incredible) Even though, i'm really sure that it's less toasty than my phone rn (even if I planned to go on a flagship phone for the next one) Maybe it is idk, tbh I can't say cause i don't what social media it could be

I wish the Nord 4 was available in the united states. It would make a fine secondary device. Currently, I'm using the OnePlus 12 as my daily driver. Although, I do plan on picking up the 13. I'm fairly sure that the Nord 4 would function properly on North American GSM carriers. Still, it's always a gamble.

It makes zero business sense for me.to purchase it to do a battery draim just for the sake of it when no one will watch it whem new phones are out and on the way. It's nothing personal against OnePlus or especially the OnePlus 12 but doing these Battery draim test is no easy task and if I don't see the return in views and subs then no point in doing i5

Actually most midrange chipsets provide a better battery life than flagships, my experience as well! Midrange phone that can't even throttle in stress test use half the power at full capacity and also clocks are lower with lighter tasks. You exchange performance for battery life basically. The problem is that midrange phones come with subpar speakers, multitasking capabilities, worse screen, ect...

The only downside that some people don't know about is that the nord 4 is powered by a li-po battery which means it will die much faster than the other 2. Li-ion batteries last way longer that li-po batteries and that's a very big downside for li-pos. To put it in perspective, the nord 4 will last only for about 3 years, when the Samsung and the iPhone will last for about 5 to 6 and that's something that anyone who wants to get the nord should know before you get it. Also if you are planning to use the boost charging method which is the 100 watts supercharger in nord's case every day it will die much sooner as well, that translates to 2 years maximum, so keep that in mind 😉. Li-po Equals to bigger capacity overall but li-ion equals to longer lifespan. In the the end of the day you can get the nord 4 but you'll have to replace the battery in 2 or 3 years and the total cost of it is around a 100 bucks with the technician's shenanigans but without the waterproof resistance being restored 😊.

I have been a fan of midrange phones. The 1st one I got was the Google pixel 3a which I bought way back late 2019. Had a layover in Singapore way back July 2024 and saw pixel 8 price mark down. This was my big step to upgrade for a flagship phone. Unfortunately, the unit I got had some issues hence, returned and I was refunded. This was my 2nd option when I saw its launching. You're comparing a $1k Samsung and a $1.2k iPhone to a $400 phone. Though on a serious note, if you don't need the most borderline overkill video recording of the iPhone and the cameras of the two flagships, just get the Nord. It is plenty fast for 99% of usage, and can play the most intensive games on the market at a constant 60 FPS, which is the same as the other two, all while preserving more power as seen in the video, and having much MUCH faster charging (100W).
