I thought I knew everything useful about my phone but thanks for the tips I enabled the fingerprint shutter option and volume buttons as zoom

You should be able to open the camera, aim it at any QR code, and the link will show up.

Other than the regular camera app I'd say OpenCamera is great because it's free and really easy to use and the lighting features are nice too. But the drawback with OpenCamera is there's no video stabilization so that's an issue if you're recording videos where you're moving around. Other than that if you want more professional features ProCam X is great too, it's not free but it's still pretty cheap, I think it's $5.
