The screen isnt very good compared to other high end AMOLED screens. lacks brightness and colors are dull. To me, the screen is the most important on a phone. Resolution and ppi is worthless when the screen itself is cheap.

Chris Thieblot It's just certain things that are getting to me. Like minor bugs that should have been worked out. For example MMS picture messages are extremely compressed when sent. Also, if I lose reception the signal will not return. Usually I have to reboot the phone. Just small examples.

I was a loyal Sony user. I used Sony -- what a great brand it is -- since 2008; from K800i to SE Satio to Xperia Z. I would say, the experience using them were memorable and nostalgic. I used to see Sony as an unmatchable brand. Nokia, Samsung and HTC were for me, humbled by its superiority in every aspect. It stood lionized, idolized and its products have always been vigorously anticipated. But this phone... it takes smartphone tournament to a whole new level. Its software and hardware give out performance unlike any Sony products I reviewed, used and know. It blows out my mind. I do not suggest Sony has gone down. It still is one of the best smartphone producers in the market. But if one is to compare Sony Z2 for instance, with One Plus One, he would understand my high appraisal towards One Plus One. I am getting mine by this week. For the first time, I am willing to let other brand take the crown, after so long.

Can you tell a notable difference between the two 4k resolutions? Can you shoot some video of something else besides landscaping on a tripod? Amazing video. At this resolution you can zoom in on a quarter of the picture and still have full HD at 1920p. Or at a 9th of the picture and have 720p. Can't wait to receive mine.

I can't watch at higher than 1080p as that is the top resolution I have presently, but man, does 1080p look awesome! Looking forward to getting my hands on this phone, hopefully soon!

Wow. Really quite something. Makes me want a new smartphone more! I wonder what it'd look like on a native 4K screen. I'm at 2560x1440 and it looks brilliant, but if I look closely I can see where there is some quality dropoff, but for all I know that could literally just be KZbin compression. I'd love to see the raw files for these.

Really impressed with what this phone can do for the low price it costs. It actually makes me think about buying it and using it instead of my iPhone 5S. How would you say this phone would compare with the 5S? i have only had one Android phone before and i did not like Android (bugs, crashes etc.) on the Galaxy S2, would you say this phone performs better software wise than a Samsung phone with Android?

The quality is great. However I would have liked to see a different recording style because I noticed you slowly panned the camera for these shots. I know a lot of smartphone cameras tend to get fidgety with video when turning very fast with them and would have liked to see how the recording goes under those conditions.

battery power is SUPERB ! I shot 4K for 10 minutes continuous and hardly dropped. Normal use is much better than any of the other major phones we have.
