YES! Music from 2013 - 2014 always makes me feel nostalgic. Off the top of my head, there's Clarity, Mirrors, Wrecking Ball, We Can't Stop, Stay the Night, Burn, Pompeii, and A Sky Full of Stars, to name a few.

Despite the criticism, I really like “I Don’t Wanna Wait.” Having seen people older than me listening to older songs and coming across as being old, it’s not something I sort of want to be stuck with as I’m getting older. I’ve come really appreciate these modern remakes of classic songs because it no longer feels like I’m a boom stuck listening to some old tracks. I’m glad that there’s been a wave of new remakes of nostalgic songs. It’s refreshing to see a new face on an old body.

This was incredible to watch! I'm a big fan of both Ryan and Guetta, but when this song came out, I had mixed feelings, especially since Guetta has released several interpolation-type tracks over the past few years that some may call cheesy. I love that Ryan addressed his and Guetta's concerns with that because it proves that they actually wanted to try hard to do the sample right instead of trying to just cash out on a quick buck. Keep these coming!
@iamfivestars2 ай бұрын
I understand what you mean but from two superstars and game-changing artists like Guetta & Ryan Tedder this is the bare minimum, when you pick a riff that is from an hit, a rhytm that is from an hit and you are Guetta & Ryan you are forced to make a banger. I'm not blaming them but they know they crossed that line and did their work. Less effort and a lot of revenues.

Not him talking about 'If I Lose Myself' and then showing another song right after... I guess that song was big here, bc Alesso and acts like the Swedish House Maffia, Martin Garrix, all these EDM producers, were massive around that time.

I don't like the hook of "I Don't Wanna Wait". My point is the way he is saying "We just took the verse and that's it". They could just have removed that verse and made something original and it would be great. I just can't comprehend it as a good song because of that hook. The hook just sounds really lazy and also, Ryan just skips that part, the rest sounds great and all, but that is just ruining it for me. Looking at David Guetta's trackrecord post covid, it is just remakes after remakes, he needs to stop.
@EliTronic2 ай бұрын
Couldn't agree more tbh. I have noticed that a lot of new EDM by big DJS like David guetta just are either remixes or cover on 80s and 90s songs. And the worst part is I saw an instagram reel where David guetta last song were a remix of final countdown and they didn't keep THE MOST ICONIC PART OF THE SONG and with some goofy ahh arppeggio instead.
