MESSAGE FROM 2021: During my time in Myanmar, I saw plenty of amazing sights, but there was one constant: the people. Always smiling, always kind and always welcoming. I’ve never known hospitality like it in all of my travels… But these kind people are currently being denied basic rights by an evil military junta who refuse to recognise democracy. Protesters are being detained and everyone is under a full internet blackout. I stand with the people of Myanmar against this oppression 🇲🇲
@markwdavis3 жыл бұрын
I have been to Myanmar 3 times. The people are the finest you will meet anywhere in the world! You are right they are always smiling, kind and welcoming even though they have been through so much horror in the past! Now the military are back to ruin the country again and we MUST not stay silent! Stop the coup, free Aung San Suu Kyi, restore the NLD government and jail the coup leaders. THE WHOLE WORLD IS WATCHING!

Just finished binging your entire Myanmar series. As a half Burmese person living in Myanmar, I need to thank you for showcasing the wonders of my country. Both the rohingya genocide situation and the current dictatorship(not to mention the mainstream media only showcasing the worst of my country) have been making me feel hopeless and embarrassed and ashamed of my culture and heritage. This series has brought me comfort during these trying times. Thank you

Holy cow! That was one amazing sunrise! We never take politics into consideration when we visit a country. You aren't going because of that, you are going because you want to meet the people, learn about the culture, the food, the languages and of course see the historical places. People and Politics are not the same thing as you kind of say in the video when you are talking about the Myanmar people. There would be so many countries that we couldn't visit if we only thought about the politics. In fact probably all the countries around the world at the moment haha! Anyway, great edit as always and the story comes together very nicely! Thanks for making such a beautiful series about SE Asia's most underrated destination!
@OneShotAdventures5 жыл бұрын
Timezone Junkies thanks guys. Whilst I do see what you are saying, I think it's important to always be aware of the politics of the country you visit. With so much going on in the media, I thought it would be irresponsible not to acknowledge that as a filmmaker

And that's it for the Myanmar series! 🇲🇲We had such an incredible time here and this is probably the 6 episodes that I'm most proud of on this channel so far. The sights, the sounds and the people of this country really blew me away - so THANK YOU ALL for watching! The next video is going to be a pretty special one... In fact, it's a bit of a Holiday Special! See you then! 🎅⛄️ PS we're less than 150 subs away from 5000... Can we do it before the new year?!

This is amazing. I was born in the ayeyarwaddy division. The river is a symbol of the country. And the division is the “ rice pot” of the country. It’s beautiful isn’t it? There’re something called zay thin baw which means market boats. These boats begins from north, picked up local products along the shore at its different stops, while selling the already picked up goods from stops before. It’s like exchanging goods at every stops along the shore. U can literally buy any goods from north to south coz of these market boats/ships. I dont know if they still have it or not. But it’s my childhood pleasure to buy small pottery kitchen utensil to buy as a toy, and bamboo claps. I love them so much when i was little girl. I had an amazing childhood.

Good thing they had a handrail to hold onto while getting onto the boat; I know April would definitely need it, hahaha! That sunrise is absolutely amazing! Especially with the reflection in the river...Incredible! Reminds of that line from Forrest Gump... What kind of books does Emma enjoy reading, April wants to know? Did you see any dolphins on your journey? Seems like a fun way to get from one place to another--was there anything you didn't care so much for? Did the boat have any charging capabilities? Another very well done film, Yoda!

Excellent excellent excellent just finished all of your Vlogs... really enjoyed the narration the videoing and the editing… I’ve got a feeling that you were in that game at some point in your life… I think I watch most travel vlogs to get tips on when I’m going to travel the world… Your V logs do stand out a lot I think it’s because you just seem to be a bit more professional than most.. What I would like to see more of though if you could be bothered is… More information on the gaffs that you rent.. how much they cost etc etc .. I always find it interesting of what people pack and bring with them what is essentials... I know it’s corny but maybe do a V log about your bag and what you use camera wise and what you bring with you that’s always quite interesting... and the last thing is… I take it your girlfriend is a tad shy… But it’s always more interesting when it’s a couple… Overall very good though really is mate well done and thanks
