I love how these updates give some perspective after the excitement if the novelty has worn off. Very valuable, thank you. An expansion for forgotten waters should appear soon (just a scenario, no physical parts)! I love that game.

I just got an email about the scenario too! Excited!

I've played Scythe about 25 times solo and have come to the same conclusion. I'm keeping it around "just in case" my wife wants to play.

Glad to hear it's not just me! And yeah, I almost kept it for the same reason, but I know there are like 20 other games my wife would pick first ;)

Can't wait to see what you think of Lisboa! It's my first Lacerda and the only one I've played (so far... Weather Machine looks right up my alley.)

I'm excited for it. I've heard the solo is more dynamic than it was in the Gallerist. I'd also like to try the new version of Kanban some day.

@@OneStopCoopShop One thing to keep an eye out for is On Mars as it is getting a co-op (and semi-co-op) module expansions. Now, the all-in is probably way too much, but if you can snag review copies/borrow someone's....

Harrison exerted more influence on this episode than usual, lol. Funnily enough, this reminded him of Forgotten Waters, so we played it today.

@@OneStopCoopShop I think that's totally valid, and as someone who is trying to raise board game compatible children, vital information :) Any reason to play together is a great reason. Plus, teaches him to value things while we have them... Regardless, hope it was a fun game!

I tried too many bones core and felt underwhelmed. What is the minimum set of expansions you think you need for the game to open up and feel more interesting?
@OneStopCoopShop
@OneStopCoopShop 3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, I would say it depends. If you didn't like the core gameplay at all, it just might not be a game for you and your tastes. But if you liked the core concepts and just wanted "more", I'd say the most bang for your buck is either Undertow (which gives you 2 new player characters, a bunch of new enemies, fun new mechanics where you fight on a raft, and a campaign mode), or just a few extra gearlocs (Ghillie, Nugget, and Gasket tend to be most popular). Splice and Dice, 40 Days in Daelore, and Age of Tyranny I think are unnecessary unless you end up really loving the game.

Mike, how do you go about getting rid of games? Just give them away or if you sell them, where?
@OneStopCoopShop
@OneStopCoopShop 3 жыл бұрын
So I give many to friends (and that includes online friends living elsewhere). I am part of a Facebook group for selling games. I also sell on BGG. A big element is that I prioritize space over price. I’ll sell a game for very cheap just to get it out :)
@kevinerskine3299

@@OneStopCoopShop Thanks. I don't have a space issue at all, but when I go to decide what game to play, I see games I don't feel like playing, but I feel like I should play them since I have them. I figure if I get rid of them, they won't taunt me.

Nice to see Dawn of Peacemakers behind you month after month! And hopefully my bringing your attention to it isn't going to make you get rid of it!
@OneStopCoopShop

Quite honestly, that's one I really enjoy, but the main reason it's still here is because I'm maybe 2 scenarios away from finishing it, and I don't want to quit. So I do think it's entirely likely that I'll cull it eventually, but not until I finish!

The early buzz has been mixed (at least what I've looked at), so I hate to say it, but I kind of expect to be unimpressed. If I get sent a review copy or can get it in a trade some day, I'll happily try it, but I doubt I'll seek it out.
