I used to be a massive trans phobic person on the internet because of the way the media describes them. I used to say all the stupid shit like “you can’t change your gender” and all of that. But i remember one experience completely changed me. I met a guy in my class and he was super nice I didn’t know his gender and he said that there was a teacher who always missgenders him. So I asked him his pronouns he said he/him. I remember talking to him and then realizing trans people aren’t like how media depicts them. He was sweet and wasn’t annoyed when I asked his gender. I just want to thank you OT. In August this year I stopped repressing that I'm trans after 38 years and I randomly stumbled upon a short of yours and that lead me to finding Jamie and others on that very positive side of the trans rabbit hole on KZbin and through all of you, I found the courage to go through with transitioning and you all have continued to be there when I needed uplifting such as when my immediate family rejected me and the pastor of my now former church told me to detransition or not go back. I have new challenges to face for sure, but where I was before... You can't call that living. I have now fully socially transitioned and am in the process of changing my name legally and hopefully I will be starting HRT soon (as soon as I find someone close enough will to provide it) and I am happier than I have ever been and living my best life, finally... And who knows if I would have ever found the courage to do it if I hadn't randomly come across your trans meme short. So thank you.

"Funny" thing is. When I was still stuck in the alt-right pipeline years ago, I _hated_ his laugh with a seething passion. I don’t know if anyone will see this but I need to write something somewhere. At one point in my life I was internally homophobic/transphobic, this was brought onto me by my extremely conservative and Christian parents. My moral compass was and still is easily swayed, but I started to make friends who were lgbtq+ and started to learn a lot about this great community. I realized that people should be able to live a life. I began to question my sexuality and eventually realized I’m gay. I wrote an essay on what it means to be gay, which led to me to question further. A question I asked my mother a few years ago when I first made some lgbtq friends was “Is it okay to have gay friends?” I distinctly remember my mother saying something like “Yes, as long as you don’t become one of them.” She ended up being the last one I came out to. One last thing: When I initially came out, both my parents asked if “I was just following my friends or following a trend.” I feel loved but not accepted.

Just hearing you talk about how people have come back after a period of time to apologize for negative comments/reactions they have had in the past helps me feel like not everyone that seems to only want to tear others down because they're different will keep going that route. This might be a bad place to ask this question, but how do you know whether you're actually gender fluid, or just curious about being other genders? Like...is there a way to know one way or the other?

​@TheTimberwolf44 honestly I'm not quite sure but I think over time you'll be able to notice the signs that might be related to genderfluidity and make the conscious decision on whether you are or not, have fun exploring the gender spectrum my friend and take your time to find yourself!

Every time i saw one of your traaaaa videos it reminds me of when i use to have an online friend that everytime they could they told me "i just dress as a femboy for the laughs i'm actually pretty masculine" etc etc. AND 4 OR 5 YEARS LATER WHEN I WAS AGENDING NUMBERS I FOUND "HIS" AND HE ASK ME BOUT MY LIFE, AND WHEN I ASKED BOUT "HIS" THEY JUST RESPONDED ME "AHA HA, WELL THIS IS GONNA BE FUN 😅" AND SENDED ME A PHOTO OF THEIR FRONT CAMERA W A GORGEOUS WORRIED WOMAN FOLLOWED BY A "it wasnt a phase lmao" HONESTLY I'M STILL PROUD OF HER LOL
