@@Sylphraya While I am unlikely to get you to change your mind, I would like to explain my reasoning a bit better, and clear up a misconception. The misconception being that you change to make someone else happy. I merely said that it can be beneficial to think about whether they had a point with their critique and then decide based on that. Changing because someone else has showed you something you didn't recognize as a problem until then. Because every human being has biases and things they just never thought about, and noone is perfect. Though we can better ourselves by trying to find out where our biases lay and then react accordingly.

That "Unsupportive but is actually a strong ally" one: My mom used to be super anti-me being trans, since she was worried it was a phase brought on by "popularity" (I hadn't even actually heard of trans until one of my friends came out, and I was actually pretty transphobic for a while until I looked it up and was like "HUH MAYBE THAT'S ME"). Yesterday, she helped me single out doctors to call to start hormone therapy, the only thing she wants me to do is to set up the appointments myself. She's started calling me by my chosen name and has even excitedly sent me pictures of these bear stickers she got with a big ol' momma bear protecting LGBT cubs. My dad's still catching up a little, but both of them are doing their best, and I'm happy we got past the point of miscommunication and disrespect that made up the time span of almost 3 years.

Fun fact: When all this quarantine stuff wasn’t here I went to pax east and right when you got your badges and walked into the building there was a desk giving out *pronoun stickers.* They had even a blank one that you could write in your pronouns! Watching this made me remember that just a little while ago, it made the news that an Egyptian actor named hicham Salim's daughter (now son) went through a gender correction. The news blew up in the Arabic countries since most are conservative countries. I've never been a fan of the actor but watching him go with his son to TV shows and risking losing his career and reputation just to support his son and telling everyone that he's proud of his son and that he always knew he was a boy warmed my heart. The amount of support he got from family and friends in the entertainment industry was totally unexpected. So I hope him a happy life. He officially changed his name from Noura to Noor.

He said: "You look like a faggot", if I remember correctly. When the manager was called by his son I told him that it wasn't the first time he was homo/transphobic. The son of the manager was actually gay and an nice person. We talked a bit. I havn't seen him since that day.

One time I remember my parents and grandparents talking about the lgbtq community and my grandparents are very religious and my grandparents they understood the lgbtq better than my parents (like pronouns, bisexuality, etc) I’m not out yet this gave me hope that my grandparents might actually use my correct pronouns. I went to the pharmacy while wearing sweatpants, a baggy tshirt, my mask and my short hair and got greeted by the new employee by a nice "good afternoon mister" you could feel the panic when she got my file and saw I was a woman but I just thought it was funny, as it had never happened before, so I was not mad at all. I'm pretty short, and at the time I was about 9 or 10 years old. I expected the usual, "Young man" and whatever. But the person seating us asked my mom, "Would you like a highchair for your baby?", referring to me. It caught us all off guard. I may have been, and am, short, but I was at a height where people thought I was like 7 or 6. (Not a misgendering story, but one I laugh at a lot. I get misgendered a lot. I don't get bothered by it anymore, so if I told one about being misgendered, it would be one where I would be bothered by it.)
