I think he means that the Now Bar is similar to Live Activities (not the Dynamic Island notch). Live activities are at the bottom of the iphone's lockscreen. You can see an example of the music player around the 1:18 mark.

Clearly some of these elements were "inspired" from iphone: Lock screen editor - 0:32, Lock screen shades - 1:08, Lock screen music player - 1:19, Expanded dynamic apps - 1:45, App switcher - 4:05, Camera controls to bottom - 4:24, etc., etc. Likewise, some ios18 features were clearly inspired by Android: Tinted icons - 2:09, Power off button - 2:32, New Siri animation - 3:01, etc., etc. Companies do it all the time and it's not a big deal. At least these two retain their uniqueness (unlike some of the Chinese brands who blatantly mimic iphone). I just don't understand all the denial. If a feature is useful and improves the product, who cares who had it first?

Completely rounded elements (widgets, notifications, menus...) do not look good on square display. So it looks like they tuned One UI 7 for upcoming S25 release. We can't say Samsung copies Apple as long as iOS works perfectly on 6-7 years old devices and One UI makes your phone obsolete after only a year (again, rounded elements can't look good, just like completely square elements would not go well with rounded display)

Edge panels and now caller assist with call translation. That little notification is already on Samsung devices it is side to side. Called stacking widgets.
