Whoever had the idea to 1. cast him and 2. train him as a vocalist: bless you! He'd make a cool rapper for sure but damn his vocals are just something else! So, I could talk about ONEUS for hours, but I would just like to thank you for your awesome analysis! I can definitely agree with your ranking of their voices. It made laugh how much you seemed to enjoy Leedo's vocal duality. And I absolutely believe in Seoho becoming one of the top kpop vocalists in the future as he continues to grow. It always astounds me to remember how he was aiming on simply being a rapper and not so much a vocalist, so that's probably part of the reason why his voice isn't as strong as it could be. I love his voice though and his unique quality to it. Again, thank you for sharing this with us! As a side note, Hwanwoong is absolutely one of my favorite performers (and dancers) in regards to recent groups, so I'm glad you enjoy him too!

Omg you finally did Oneus! Yesss. All of them have such interesting, distinct, and YES majorly overlooked voices so I was really looking forward to how you'd rank them. They also always strive to sing live and be heard above the backtrack and that's super admirable. And also I just really love them lol. The fanboying over Hwanwoong and Leedo, relatable, understandable. XD Thank you so much! This was very thorough and well-done, as expected of your vids! I'm fairly surprised about Ravn's and Xion's rankings, but I don't disagree. Xion's higher tone can sound a lot like his twin from Onewe (do check them out too lol) as shown in their Lit performance for RTK where he does Seoho's part. Hwanwoong definitely so stable and his vocals don't get talked about, but overall, he IS such a great performer. If they were a bigger group, I have no doubt more people would put him around the same level as ATEEZ'S San. Also, for more source material on Leedo's higher singing voice, he does a high(ish?) note in their Road to Kingdom 'Be Mine' performance that I would have expected Keonhee to do. And for Keonhee's voice, this vid made me realize why ASWE was his era (for me and a lot of others) omg. "Angelic, soft, and sweet without much power" perfectly describes it! Seoho hands down is definitely one of the best vocalists of the 4th gen and maybe his "lack of" confidence is due to his initial aim of being a rapper? But THANK the HIGHER FORCES RBW convinced him to be a vocal because just LOOK!

At earlier when they newly debut, i truly think Leedo is by general the 4th rank in terms of vocal and Seoho is by 2nd rank below Keonhee to be pretty honest in my observation when i watch their predebut content along, but as time passed Leedo who have lots of vocal and rap line more than some fully vocal position member, And there i realise he improve a lot in vocal and he can be a part of lead vocal position. While Seoho he gain lots of confidence compared to before that i can see how fast he change. He always seems nervous in some situations and thats makes him can't fully show off his vocal talents but its all in the past. He have dynamic and soulful skills too. All i can see Oneus member really have good control in singing as well as good confidence especially in singing live these days. Xion is by far my greatest proud seeing how he improve from truly zero to the par with other side vocal members and i truly love his high tone in Youth song line. Hwanwoong is the second greatest improvement for me after Xion. He originally have good confidence in singing in the past so this time he improves more on skills. Keonhee and Ravn in my opinion didn't change much as before but i hope they get more chances and lines for their vocal in their song because they also a great vocalist. Its nice to see someone able to talk abt vocal analysis of oneus. They are one of my treasure boys too. Nice video!

Seoho's confidence vs Keonhee's comes down to imho that Keonhee has been singing his whole life but Seoho didn't start singing lessons until after he graduated high school. There's a JYP audition clip of Seoho from 2016 and there's absolutely no upper register there, no mix voice no nothing. Thanks so much for your thorough & enlightening analysis of ONEUS members' vocals! I pretty much agree with everything you've said, & your ranking aligns with mine exactly as well, I guess there really isn't too much ambiguity when it comes to vocal rankings in ONEUS except in the last 2 haha. Ravn definitely has more versatility in his vocal repertoire, which once he can control better, will see him be used a lot more as a vocalist. I do wonder whether he does have some texture in his voice he hasn't explored yet. His slightly reedy thin voice is very distinctive, but sometimes when he talks I can hear more bass. Xion (btw I think you used an excerpt of Ravn's singing in Valkyrie on his ranking page) does well in his comfort zone, though in the latest album he has also started to utilise his middle-upper range a bit more, with Youth for instance at 1:43 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJvPdoZ9g8Z8b5o, but you're right it is leaning towards the more nasally tone, which can perhaps be improved with lifting his soft palate & opening up his sound. ONEUS has at least 3 nasally members in Xion, Hwanwoong & Seoho, but if the first 2 members can learn from Seoho in controlling the nasal tone in his voice, I think both Hwanwoong & Xion have potential to be very competent singers. It's quite a compliment to a group when someone as stable & as in-tune (mostly) as Hwanwoong is placed 4th out of 6 members! He has sang in head voice once that I could recall, when they were still trainees back in 2017: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmWsiYl9nKecesU (Head to 1:00 & 2:03 for the passages with head voice), & it sounded pretty stable. It's a pity that it's not being used more actually, if his head voice is strong enough to be used in performance. I sometimes actually get Hwanwoong & Seoho's voices confused, they both have a similar light, nasal tone, do you think it's their natural voices, or the techniques they were taught? Leedo has an incredible duality, & you're right in that he sings light rather than high, his airy, breathy singing voice really brings a great contrast to his rapping voice. Comparing to his predebut videos, his tuning seems to have come along in leaps and bounds, but yeah he can be more in tune. Still, Leedo has a raw, almost broken technique he uses at the start or end of phrases, that really emotes his singing, he adds so much flavour & range to ONEUS' general sound, he really is the only member with any kind of gravel in his tone haha. Would you say Keonhee is the closest out of all the members to have what we would call a quasi-classical training? I mean he does use his chest voice more than any classical singer ever would, but there's something about the way he sings that suggests more classical training? His voice is almost like an adult version of a chorister, much lower of course, but with a similar clarity & bell-like tone. His falsetto is so effortless, though a little softer than Seoho's, it's so great to have 2 singers with stable falsettos in a group! The most important aspect of Keonhee's singing, that I don't think you've mentioned so far, is his incredible ability to harmonise on call. Admittedly it's mostly in 3rds, but sometimes he can adjust to 4ths or 6ths if needed, & it's a skill very few Kpop idols possess, not at will anyway! This doesn't place him above Seoho for me, but it certainly makes me be slightly in awe of his ability haha. Seoho is unquestionably the most skilled singer, and the singer with the biggest potential in ONEUS. He has a naturally high range, which makes the higher notes that most tenors would struggle with a breeze for him it seems. You're so spot on with his confidence issue though! He's improved a LOT since predebut days, when he would regularly sing out of tune in public performances. Even after debut, whenever he sings solo on radio shows, he would still struggle a little with tuning. Would it have something to do with the genre he seems to prefer? He really likes R&B, but I'm not 100% sure the genre suits him? Here's him singing Dean's Half Moon - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaTEeq2tec-mjac, there seems to be a thickness or smokiness in tone he doesn't quite have compared to the original singer. What genre do you think he would suit the most? ONEUS songs obviously haha, but besides those? He has an absolutely gorgeous tone, so I'm sure he would excel in the industry in the future! Sorry for the rambling long post, your excellent analysis/ranking video really got me thinking about each individual member's strengths & weaknesses. Thank you so much once again for your impartial & knowledgeable ranking, hopefully you might need to analyse them again in the future, & declare improvements across the board haha! Also YES ONEUS is such an underrated group! They do have acknowledgement amongst kpop fans who know them, but too many still don't, so we'll need to promote them as much as we can haha!

Thank you so much for this ranking! I love oneus because their music and voices are really unique, but they’re so inderrated and it’s so upsetting 🥺

I was really hoping you'd cover ONEUS! Thanks for the great video as usual! I was thinking, it's been a while since you've done your stray kids video, and now that you've redone BTS I'm curious if you might be considering to remake the Stray Kids ranking?

I hope you do the Iz*One vocal ranking! some people say Chaewon is the 2nd best vocalist, some people say Eunbi is (my opinion), and some people say Yena is, there's a lot of discussion among the fans lol. I'd love to see your opinions.

I love your ranking. It's objective and insightful. Oneus is a very talented group. They can sing/rap and dance live really well. They are also hard working so we can definitely expect improvements in the future. Hwanwoong is my fave and I agree with you. I'm really looking forward to him showcasing his singing more. Not sure if you have seen his "Did you miss me?" performance. It's like a sneak peek of what he can sound like when he hits a high note and that was a pre-debut number. There must be an improvement to his skills now. I hope to hear him sing more challenging vocal parts someday. I really enjoyed your video. Thank you!

I recently found your channel and I've been watching tons of your videos since then. Seeing as you covered Oneus in this video, at some point do you think you could cover Onewe? They're Oneus' "brother band" and it would be interesting to see. Another group which while is a newer group, is something which would be interesting for you to cover would be D1ce. The members should have quite a few videos of them singing due to them having previously been on survival shows and the project group HNB. They have some really good vocalists and Hyunsoo, the lead vocalist, has a voice that is quite unique in kpop. I really enjoy your videos and they're very educational. Though I can't sing at all, I do enjoy learning about how to sing and your videos do it in a way that's interesting to me.

Thank you so much for covering Oneus! I also believe Seoho is going to be "the next big thing", his voice is way too wonderful for that to not happen

I'm Atiny and yes I love our vocal king maknae BUT there is just something about Seoho's voice that leaves me in pieces. Same for Leedo. I ADORE Oneus, their vocal and rap line is so strong, their discography is amazing and their mvs and performance top tier. San is my bias in Ateez so it's no surprise that when I watched Oneus for the very first time with "No Diggity" I was utterly and completely captivated by Hwanwoong.

when ravn is put in 6th, you can only assume that the group's vocal line is amazing (no hate, just thought it was funny!)
