ONEWHEEL or BOOSTED - Which is better in 2024?

Bought Onewheel Pint X 4 months ago. It was a game changer for me. 3 weeks ago I bought Onewheel GT and man, I must say, it's on another level. I can commute without any problem to my family and friends who lives in different city. I cut out videogames and do spend a lot of time outside now just riding in the forest or at night in the city. The adventures and experiences I got from it is mindblowing and you really cannot put a price on that :)

@@thejarrodwink It's worth it. I went with PintX just because the range, can't imagine to have only few kilometers of range as on regular Pint. But GT have even more range and the stability, torgue and speed you get from it is really different. Enjoy it man! :)

The Onewheel GT is so good it’s hard to believe and I love that future motion keep adding to the software with updates. The board is now able to be tuned to your ride style.

I do own a boosted board and it’s the Mini X I still love my boosted board and I still ride it. I also own a onewheel XR and that is a great vehicle. Onewheel is the ultimate all terrain board.

Boosted board? Do you mean an esk8? Boosted is gone. Even though you got it used for cheaper, they can't be serviced professionally. Replacement battery will be an issue. The real world comparison will be of a AT esk8 but I can appreciate you sharing your personal PEV experience. It sounds like you're discussing city riding. I feel that the Onewheel b/c it is more maneuverable, it is actually easier to ride than an esk8 that's limited due to it being a longboard.

Not sure why you chose to do a video comparing the One Wheel to a board from a company who went out of business four years ago. My Meepo Flow cost me $360 dollars used (seven months old). It has a listed top speed of 32 mph and range of 24 miles. It also carves like a knife. I can't imagine wanting any esk8 for commuting, though many people who ride all the various esk8's basically just stand on them like they are commuting. I bought an esk8 to carve, carve, carve. ...the same reason I got into snowboarding in the late 80's. The same reason I started longboard skating in the late 80's. It you want to commute, an ebike or scooter is a great idea. Crashing on a One Wheel is a very different experience than on an esk8. When things get feeling dangerous on an esk8 the brakes often handle that situation well. When you crash on a One Wheel it's because the front end hit the ground, then you fly forward and break your collar bone.

I dont have a onewheel but i do have a Acedeck Stella S3 (Comparable to boosted just fast) I got some Cloudwheels on there so i can now easily clear train tracks and loose gravel. My range is about 20 miles and i can go 28MPH. I use to ride SurfSkate boards when i was younger so for me this is the safest PEV I can be on. The fact that you can miss the pushback from the bouncing around or run out of battery and fall down from that is what scares me on the onewheel. Also your paying like 10x the price for something that is honestly underpowered for the price. Onewheel needs competition in that space so they actually innovate more and dont have a monopoly so they charge these absurd prices.

Nice review, keep it up!👍 I ride a mini cruiser (non-electric) and a onwheel for good 1.5 years now. I think the good part about the onewheel is that the wheel is much bigger and can get over terrain the skateboard/cruiser couldnt at those speeds indeed. It feels much safer than a skateboard when it comes falling rates. One shouldnt ride it carelessly though ofc, but the chances of fallin are much lower than a skaterboard in my experience. Especially in a city with cracked streets like mine😅 Electric skateboard must be fun and is more lightweight tho. And problem with OW is that it's really important to ensure sensors work and pick up your foot pressure. I have small feet so I had to attach 2 furniture pads that I step on when riding on each side. Improved my safety a lot in my view and I recommend the same if you have the same problem as me. I still gotta be careful and hope folks stay careful out there too, whether on a OW or skateboard 😁 As to fun, I feel like nothing beats the Onewheel when it comes to small electric vehicles. It's a mental health booster of its own kind. Gives u a sense of new freedom too. Once u can ride it to the point it feels like is part of your body, the onewheel will become your favourite way of commuting long distances lol. But again, be safe. Make sure the sensors work well and avoid using it in rain or snow to protect that aspect longterm. Cuz screw up on a skateboard? You go flying. Screw up on a Onewheel, you go falling. Literally downwards. Both not very pleasant moments😅 Happy riding~ 🛞🛹👍

How are we still considering Boosted in 2024? A 7 mile range / 20mph board? For $100 more you can get a NEW board that has 30miles range / 35 mph that can do Gravel/train tracks / loose dirt etc. Is it the Neist-talaga? I have a lower end Meepo voyager with 90mm wheels as an average 220 rider with a normal commute. ALSO is this a paid avert?

Short answer: boosted boards don't have part support anymore and are discontinued. There's literally a shit ton of other brands like wowgo and backfire and exway offering quality belt drive boards for around 500 bucks and up. NOBODY rides with stock wheels anymore. Railroad tracks are nothing for madwheelz or other aftermarket wheels. It blows my mind you managed to produce a video this outdated in 2024. With the one wheel you get no customization you can change out the trucks, pivot cups, bushings, washers, wheels, so many options. One wheels are a yuppie machine. Not sure if I agree about the intimidation factor.

OneWheel GT all the way. I live .7 miles away from my work and take my GT. The speed and range are way better than the Pint. Like you said the Pint is a good training onewheel.

Don't dare update that Pint with latest FM firmware! ReWheel it! Faster than XR and Pint X, XR ride profiles, XR angle pushback, remote tilt, custom shaping, posi, and anti-update with PintX spoofing. After you do that, get a Quart battery and double your range.

@@plebbin. Tynee mini 3, but the wheels and bushings aren't great on it but if you swapped both of those out you will have a really great board. They cloned a boosted mini but with a lot more power and range.
