That's not too shabby and you have to take the colder weather into consideration for the battery percentage. With my XR I get about 14 to 15 on a 60 to 70° day. Then again I'm 140 lb. Weight is everything with these boards that's for sure. Speaking of weight how is the weight of the board compared to an XR?
@indiemoto2 ай бұрын
It’s about 3lbs heavier than the OG XR. But you can get it down to 30lbs with some aftermarket parts
@carvecreative2 ай бұрын
Compared to the OGXR it’s a little bit more weight. But compared to the GT it’s way lighter feeling.
@SchuylerOrtega2 ай бұрын
I’d say pump the tire pressure a few more pounds and repeat. I was on track for 16 miles of range in colder weather this weekend.

260 with gear or without? Also setting board psi to 10% body weight would definitely help with the range

Estimated ranges are for 160lbs to 200lbs. For your weight and the smaller battery size of xr classic 11 - 13miles is about right
@carvecreative2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the info! It’s interesting because in the past there was never that big of a gap between the estimated range and what I got..
@grumpyaf642 ай бұрын
@@carvecreativeidk about that, that’s a heck of a short! The og pint is 6-8 miles range rated for that 250 lbs but at 270 I still get 5.5-6 miles so I don’t see you getting shorted 7 miles as normal
@motonvipr2 ай бұрын
Did you start off at 100%? I'm 190lbs and the board could not go further after reaching 9% battery left. I posted about it and had to do a balance charge. This time I started at 100% and in two stints (without charging) get it down to 2% battery before I couldnt ride anymore. Btw, I thought I read somewhere the XR C has a 275lb weight limit or that might be the pint?
@carvecreative2 ай бұрын
I did start at 100% last night I got 13 miles on a ride but I was consciously going slow to not drain the battery quicker.
@uhjyuff20952 ай бұрын
When riding a onewheel for maximum range consider stopping on a decline to take a break instead of flat ground or an incline. That way when you step back on the board doesn't use extra power to get back up to cruising speed. Electric skateboards can get more range if riders kick push when they first jump on, but onewheels riders would need to start on a decline to get the same effect.

I’m a bigger guy myself Mine was getting about 10 out the box a good balance charge and made sure my tire was about 19-20 and got just over 15 a couple good balance charge sessions is probably the key

@@carvecreative mileage getting any better for you? Thismorning was the lowest since I balanced it It was 30 degrees here thismorning and only got like 12 miles of range with a 15mph average but I kinda expected that with the fast speeds and cold weather

@@carvecreative I've heard from a few other people that, that tire doesn't preform well with low PSI. They were getting better range keeping it around 17-19 psi. Nobody seems though to really like the 6" version of that tire. I've always been a fan of the wood footpads. Thanks for the video.

Im 160lbs and get 23 miles per charge on my board and my cruising speed is 13mph. Thats crazy how weight plays such a big part in range

So after some investigation and more battery cycles I’m now getting around 16-17. My cruising speed is around 18 though so that may also play a big role.
