Onewind Outdoors Billow Ultralight Tarp! Howdy Folks! This is the third video in the series of my Onewind Outdoors Summer Hammock Kit I purchased in the Spring. The bulk of the video focuses on the Onewind Outdoors Billow Ultralight Tarp, but I also share my thoughts on the Ridge Line Reel...

I used that hammock and tarp late last September in northern Michigan. It gets pretty cold at night up north that time of year. Well it rained, poured straight down for two days straight. I never got any of my gear or bedding stuff wet. Its good stuff!

I havve all the same stuff you do from onewind and i can use my snake skin with the ridge line reel with no problem. I put clips on each end of my tarp to hang on the knotts

Tarp looks good so far. The kids' toy, not so much. The cordage would be a nice addition to my bag though. Thanks for the quick look (not a review).

Hey, ive been using a camjam tightener carabiner on my tarp Ridgeline. One end of the line has a regular carabiner thaf i loop around a tree and clip back to the Ridgeline, then a prusik loop is attached to that end of the tarp, on the other end of the tarp another prusik is attached to that end of the tarp, and the camjam and excess line, i wrap that around the tree and adjust the tarp along the line when its tight. whole thing stays attached to the tarp. So all you need to do is lay out the tarp on the ground, run the loose end of the line through the top loops of the tarp, give yourself like 6ft of extra line on the non reel side, add a mini carabiner to that loop so you can just loop that side around the tree and clip it to itself, slide the one prusik down to that end and carabiner it to the tarp, carabiner the reel side carabiner to the other end of the tarp. Leave the whole thing on the tarp, shove it in the sleave. And that tshape on the reel looks like it could be used to tie off the coord so it doesn't reel out on you. Lastly, sandpaper and enamel olive green spray paint, that thing is hideous. Ha I do really like the idea of the reel, i may get a chalkbox and see if i can adapt it to my Ridgeline. The excess cord really goes everywhere, ive been using a little baggy.

Thanks for the tips! I love the camjams! I recently bought a few of the aluminum camjams and they are a huge improvement to the plastic ones.

its very cheap alloy, i have ripped the teeth offpulling it out the ground by some paracord. i have also sheared the top and a couple of fins off with a alloy hammer. pay more getter gear is my motto on tent stakes. great info as always and presented well.

Another thing id like to mention, you could probably use a bit of shock cord on those mismatched attachment clips on the underquilt. Span the gap, would be less wearing on the material anyways if it wasn't so tightly attached. Enjoyed the reviews. Been looking at this set up for my summer kit as well. Like everything but that top quilt. The pancho thing is neet, but that looks like too much fuss for a blanket when Im ready for bed. Ha. Im using the OneTigris Featherlite Ultralight Sleeping Quilt currently. Very happy with it, though the stuff bag is a little too flimsy.

Well I guess you haven't tried hard enough!😄😆😅😄😆😅 Seriously, It very well could be my fault, but both of the stakes I broke broke in exactly the same place. I'm choosing to believe it's a design flaw.

Brother John, you've been busy while I've been vacationing. I see the goodies you have acquired and some of the stuff is less than wonderful. Broken tent stakes, unhandy ridge line, and a tarp that could be better. I hope that it will stand up to your usage. Did you purchase some cooking stuff or fire making stuff too? Maybe a new stove? I'm looking forward to you having all of us on a weekend camp soon. Blessings, David.

Howdy Brother David! Nice to hear from you! I've had to put my adventuring off for the past couple months. Life is beating me up pretty good right now. The Lord is keeping me in the fight, but it's been a struggle. I have no idea when I'll be able to get back to the woods. It's a good thing I squeeze in as much filming as I can into my outings or I wouldn't have had anything to post the past several weeks. Blessings to you and yours Brother!

Thanks. Ive been wondering about that ridge line spool. I have a One Wind poncho ( the light weight, no seam, made from silnylon) that has been lightly used, but thrown around in truck for 3 years. Recently used it and is just fine. Appreciate

You're welcome. I've enjoyed using this kit. I've stored most of it until next spring. I'll try the hammock and tarp this winter.
