Well every country has it's own laws.. DRLs are actually not needed in certain countries and the manufacturer should provide a switch to turn those off. For example in India keeping the headlight always on or having DRL is unnecessary. These DRLs are good for those countries where the daylight is an issue due to the climate.

The vehicles are supposed to follow the motor vehicle norms of the country it is being launched into. Indian bikes and cars are must to have DRL. If you have a DRL with a switch then it's not DRL anymore. It's a normal headlight lamp with a switch. That said DRL is just a gimmick. It doesn't provide any safety. Much less visibility to others. But no harm done. @@Dude_Virus
