Ding Dong, especially in the days of blockbuster/renting games my buddies and I would rip on and joke about things we observed in the games that sucked. I think people are more averse to doing so when they've spent full price on a title or on series they feel particularly nostalgic about. Which is stupid because you can rip on, joke about, or point out the flaws in a game while simultaneously enjoying it very much.

I've been watching OnePlays for a while and It's never felt like DIng Dong has said anything negative. He's in his own right to say whatever he wants about a game because it's his perspective, he even goes out of his way to clarify that he's only speaking for himself and that others are entitled to their own opinion. I really don't get why others in the comments take it so personally when he's critical about stuff: it's a healthy thing to do, specially when you offer a solution from your point of view, which he always does when being serious. Same thing happens over at TheRunawayGuys' channel: Jon, one of the 3 let's players, has a similar attitude and people take it as him being "negative" but that's only because he wants things to be better, which everyone should strive for. Talking about a person, however, is different. There's a level of responsibility which comes with every opinion which people don't really take into account when speaking out, and it's very important to always lay out your thoughts with respect (unless, of course, you're just doing a meme in a place where you are allowed to, socially speaking)

I got super nostalgic when Chris mentioned the Dingodile toy. Those late 90's video game toys were stupid good quality for the time. Crash, Resident Evil, MGS, and Duke Nukem had some fucking awesome action figures. All the Crash figures came with really nicely molded crystals with no seam lines, and they were made out of a really dense, hard acrylic. Reawoke memories I forgot I had.

Dingus really can't handle criticism from commenters well. It's totally fine for him to share his opinions, but when the commenters share their opinion on his opinion, they're dummies stickin their noses where it don't belong. When people complain about his negativity, he just responds with more negativity, which inevitably will lead to more complaining, which will cause more negativity etc. etc. Just have fun with your friends, and stop bringing that stuff up in videos. Activision created incredible amounts of hype into this game emphasizing how it was a beautiful remaster of a beloved game trilogy. But the developers of COD surprised no one when they cut corners with lighting and shaders in order to meet their own deadline. They weren't worried however, because any criticism of their perfect majesty would be met with waves of "God, quit being so negative muh nostalgia!" and be egged on by the hive mind. This leaves content creators with a dilemma, they can either respond truthfully and stand up for their criticisms and anger the mob, ignore the mob and give off the sense they don't care about their viewers, or just agree with the mob to ease their temper tantrums. I'm no better than any other schmuck in these comments but let's all agree to disagree and have some laughs.

PairOfDucks Activision didn't make this game, Vicarious Visions did, Activision just took the credit. VV actually did have, ironically, a vision when making this game, but they aren't working on the new Spyro, and you're about to see just how many problems a game could have if the developers truly didn't care

Stu Pickles honestly, the Spyro Remake is great for the most part. Models are a little iffy, sure, but the entire game isn't coated in a bland shade of brown like the crash remake is

Spyro has always kinda been the colorful one of the bunch, and I feel the level designs for that game are tremendously better than Crash's, and yea now that I have the Spyro remake, I do think it's a little better.

Of course, it's hard not to point out something annoying or weird looking with friends and, unless it's a game series we're all really dedicated to and not disappointed about we all laugh about said complaints. When I play some game with my friends, I usually be the most critical. I appreciated the good details but I also noticed when something could be better or just wrong. Once we played New Super Mario Bros. U and I critiqued the game so much that my friends did not want to play more xD Regarding this remake / remaster; the game is fine, but could be better. For example, (3:22) the dialogue when you defeated Dingodile was removed. And that's my problem, good details are added but others are removed.

I only talk about the game, when I'm by myself. But, I only started doing it when I got into full playthrough gameplays/commentaries (specifically the two best friends play main channel) but I don't really critique the visuals because I can't even tell the difference between 480p and 1080p without a side by side comparison. But, with friends it more about what's happening in the game like "there's something over there" or "press this, to do that", because in a group it's more about teamwork or competition with me and usually whoever I hang out with because we're just there to play. That's why I don't understand why let's players get so mad when there's somebody else with them because they could either pass off control and take a break or have a second pair of eyes for advice. I find even shitty games are better with somebody else there to play along.
