I know this is old, but it was because his pieces in the bottom right of the board were able to jump one of Mario's pieces. In Checkers you must take a jump if it is available.

Chris has a really diverse friend group and i aspire to have that. Its not that I cant see them all getting along together, but its just interesting how different yet equally funny both DD + J (sounds like a weird new sandwich) AND his old newgrounds friends are with him.
