Could you consider looking at similar peer to peer file sharing services that aren't focused on hosting? Like air drop inspired "Share drop" or "Snap drop". The file sharing side of privacy is often overlooked IMO, and could make a good subject to discuss, even if not the main video topic.

Downsides of them of course being - Not a hosted file sharing service since everything happens over WebRTC p2p file sharing. - like air drop requires both users to be readily available to accept the transfer of a specific file, even if the offering of a file can occur both ways - only one (share drop) offers a public links option to join the same room if not on the same local network.

This is great, I just wish it had the ability to be a complete workflow. A tab that would allow you to paste the link so people wouldn't also have to install a separate browser, but use onionshare on the other end that wants to receive the file. It's literally just a tab that's a web browser for Tor.

It will go through Tor, so certainly slower. Give it a shot on your own computer and see the estimated time to download! Keep in mind there may be a realistic max size, and in that scenario it may be worth it to split the file up between zips
