A real issue that Maresca has now is clearly how to keep the full squad happy over the next 2 to 3 months in which time he only has at best 2 or 3 FA Cup matches for half of them to look forward to whilst the core remain as starters in the Premiership matches and some others on the bench. I would suggest now it be essential to sell some and send others out on loan or there is going to be substantial discontent.

Maresca is culpable for this loss and we can say at this point he’s better than that. Neto was in trouble because of how Maresca is asking Gusto to play, where it’s obvious to all of us it will never work. Nkunku same.
@officialjhazzvevoКүн бұрын
I love Marseca for us, the issue I'm having with him is that he does lack of substitutions, he said Nkunku not a 9 then why put him on? Guiu is a 9 use him and make earlier subs, take Palmer off and put on Félix, Sancho for Nkunku on that side of the wing, Neto off put on Tyrique on the right, he's not making use of the subs and you can't bring on one player so late, in every game he should make subs at 50th and use all 5 subs. If he makes better decisions in games and manage the game well, I'm still supporting Marseca he's good for the club.

It's not the loss. It's how we lose. All we need was fresh legs and Maresca only made one sub. I feel bad for Archeampong, Guiu, and Casadei. Glad one of them is looking for an exit in January. I don't want Maresca out. The problem i have with him is the lack of confidence he has on his bench. Other managers would kill to have the quality we have sitting around! He's subs need to come in a lot sooner than the last 10 mins of the game. Felix should definitely be put in more often, he's show what he can do. Maresca needs to utilize he's changes sooner and even drop he's best players when they are not performing. Fulham showed him how it was done, two goals from two subbed players. Also, this is not Maresca's fault, but I believe we need a World class CB to play along Colwill.

Anyone saying this result is unacceptable is a complete idiot, and more than likely, not a true Chelsea fan. The Premier league is tough. Yes, I would love to see more of Felix, but, in Maresca we trust. This coach is the best thing to happen for Chelsea since the outing of Roman.

Chelsea needs a serial scorer a killer, bring Sesko and Osimhen, Jackson is a better on the left wing, it's not a top attacker, Delap is not better than Jhon Duran while we're not tired more with players who will not live up to our expectations, release Badiashile and disasi and give way to good central defender, there are many on the market especially Bastoni, Tomas Araujo, Antonio Silva, Marc Gueyi, to name those, Colwill is good but it makes fatal mistakes often, think about the cucurella lining too, and that Maresca stops wanting to play the Super Coach and leaves Gusto playing his left side post, and then why have to buy Felix if it's for it to wax the bench ?? Felix must play and we have to talk about it often

Really appreciate you being the voice of reason, Yan. Yes, we have things to learn and you learn more from losses than you learn from wins, sometimes. But just because you shouldn’t panic, it doesn’t also mean you ignore the lessons a loss give you. Yes, we need to learn to see out games. Absolutely. But Sanchez made a horrible mistake with his last long pass that immediately turned to ball over to Fulham when we were in a vulnerable position. He should NOT have sent the ball long; he should have given it to his teammate who was square and 25yards clear. Possession at that moment in the game was at a premium and Sanchez had a golden and safe opportunity to keep it, and he just gave it away and put us in immediate danger of what turned out to be a lethal, game-deciding assault. Sanchez is okay but he HAS to go. He is not improving in his judgment and execution of long balls and it is costing us games. Disagree? Really? Does ANYONE feel completely safe in any game when the ball gets played back to Sanchez? I didn’t think so.

Tbh, after the lost, I was fuming. But while writing my rant, I saw a few points, that made me felt better. 1. Look at our December form. 6 wins, 1 draw and 1 lost. With only 1 game left. It's actually a very good run. 2. The team was actually still trying to win it at 1-1. With Sanchez hoofing the ball up. 3. Our team is still very young, and so is our manager. 4. Before the season starts, if you tell me that in December, we will be in 2nd place in the League, I would absolutely write us off. But hey, we are doing very well ATM, and slightly ahead of the curve. Looking back at my expectations before the season start. I think that finishing around 6th to 8th place and a cup trophy would be great. With that in mind, being in 2nd place in league and qualifying for the Conference League now shows that we are on track and even slightly ahead of ourself. My only hope is that the team, along with Maresca, continues to improve. KTBFFH! Chelsea til I die.

Definitely frustrating match, but I’m confused as to why “fans” are losing their minds. The way I see it is we were bound to drop points at some point, and I would rather lose 1-2 to Fulham than it be a truly embarrassing result like our game against Arsenal last season. We may not be title contenders, but we are a serious team again and the sky’s the limit.

Love Maresca and what he had done but still think if Cucurella was in the left back position then maybe he would of stopped them on the second goal 🤔
