This is absolutely great feature of Odoo and was one of the major reasons, we chose Odoo for our holding company. However, It seems this great feature is missing on Odoo V17, which is very unfortunate. The vastly promoted PDF quote builder o V17 is nice, but certainly does not support great online viewing experience. Please, Odoo, make the online quotation builder as presented in the above video work in V17 and future versions, again.

Unfortunately the design template feature is not available even on v16, at least not in Enterprise edition. Too bad. Looks useful.

Thank you, your video was very helpful for customizing quotations. However, is there a way to customize the fields in Online Quotations? For example, if I don't want the Tax field to be displayed, is that possible?

It is not there. It is a bad slap into face of Odoo users, that have build their sales quote design on using the nice online quotation. In Our company, we were using this feature for 3 years, in version 14,15,16. Now, we are reluctant to move to V17, despite we would like to, because it is missing online quotation desingner/builder. Please, Odoo, return it back (and make it little bit less buggy in formatting features.)

Before quoting the customer, If i need cost from vendor, How can I get one without confirming order. In Odoo terms, how can I map Quotation (SO) and RFQ(PO)

You can generate the Sales Quotation (to get an SO number, you don't need to send it to your Customer) and copy this number into the Source Document field on the Purchase Order that you manually create (so when you hear back from your Vendor with the price, you know which Quotation to update and send to your Customer). Anything more would require customization as the "map" between SO and PO is done based on the order lines (the ID of the sale order line is stored in the sale_line_id field on the purchase order line) and we only link an SO and a PO by default AFTER confirming the SO.

You explained everything but didn't explained the automatic quotations? You did all these manually but if we're getting tons of orders how to automate that?

Sad that "View quotation & pay" is hard to change. How can a salesperson 'talk' to a customer like that?

odoo is poor in technical support .... no international backup, only depends on the Belgium team..... so bad.... ** DISAPOINTED TO ODOO**
