Thank for the series - I use Thoth rather than RWS (a purely instinctive decision that I feel fine with for now), but sometimes return to these videos to compare these traditions. I got a lot of cups today, doing a couple of readings on emotions and relationships and I see how different my readings would be with identical spreads in RWS. But I also realise why I appreciate Thoth. I feel that - personally - I would be a lazier reader with RWS, because its images seem to tempt me into shallow readings (like those you mention in your video on deeper reading). Thoth's abstract. yet evocative imagery allows me to focus less on particular persons and actions and more on the feelings, concepts, underlying causes behind the questions. This way, Tarot feels less like a divination (which I have little faith in, TBH) and more like opening the querent (including myself) to ideas already present in their minds or intuitive knowledge they've been suppressing. However, I believe that other readers can achieve satisfying results with RWS, Marseille or other decks, so thanks for making these videos available for all.

I’ve been with RWS tarot for 2 years and now feel drawn to Thoth . I feel like there is more to Tarot than I’ve learnt so far . Your comment proves my intuition is right and there is so much more. I only worry that learning Thoth will mess up my knowledge of RWS meanings. Some meanings of the card are so different.

It’s funny because I sometimes feel a secret underlying air swords element to the cups, if you think about it often our minds are connected to our feelings and can influence them even. Each time I go through the cups I imagine they just got told something really good or really bad depending… which agains shows the mental dwelling on the emotions.
