Online teaching pros and cons.

So although I've been doing a few online classes over the last couple of years it has only really been recently that the majority of my work has (thanks to COVID-19) been conducted exclusively via the wonders of the internet.
In this video I give a brief overview of my opinion between two very different schools of thought. Some people are of the belief that online teaching is the future and will only grow in popularity as we move into the future. Others have seen the bigger companies move in like sharks and view the sector pretty much as 'dead'. Honestly I can see little bits of both perspectives.

Thanks for this. I am debating whether to start teaching a mix of online and face to face tutoring. I am a primary school teacher at they moment and would be worried about two things: not having the same salary and holidays! Any thoughts? Thanks

Many people struggle to make the change from state education to private. That fixed salary and paid holiday is tough to give up although working privately cuts out a lot of the bureaucratic pressures. If money is not a major motivator for you and you don’t mind working highly irregular hours then maybe give it a shot. Stay in touch and let me know how things progress and best of luck to you!
