Also, is the standard any better if the advancement of dartboards is taken into consideration. There is a lot more room on doubles, trebles, and improvement with flights, barrel, etc.

Phil I’m in my mid 50s now and was top In my field in crown green bowling but trust me high school all the teachers either cricket or football pro as a public school and to this day you tell me wrong we beat my local private school Bolton school my local private school 3-2 at football on there ground obviously they wouldn’t play away I was MOTM ok BOTM but back then I wasn’t picked up and went down the lane at the time health wise x life’s life in them days when cigs wasn’t that bad calms you infact and advertised on F1 cars extra 😡but I love any sport tiddlywinks anything x I honestly already see yourself in Luke’s behaviour and already thought you was mentor he has mentioned you already obviously bit like me and my mentor Brian Duncan in my sport but sticks out to me Luke obviously acts like you x and please see this and keep in touch with him and keep him on the track xxx 9:20

So effectively Phil is saying, from his own personal experience, that Luke needs to quickly lose weight and stop being lazy on his down time away from darts. Natural talent only takes you so far but Luke will burn out health-wise in a few years carrying on diet-wise and activity-wise as he has been, especially with the demands of the schedule. Not a personal jibe, but he’s only just turned 17 and everyone can see his health is a ticking time-bomb and he already looks twice his age.

Got respect for big Phil for what achieved in darts and helping form the pdc but even he can't deny he bent the rules and cheated on more than 1 occasion and even though 16x champion world he woulf not be as successful as he was under current tournament forma.
