This is true for Standard British English, but there are some British accents that always pronounce the letter 'r'. The West Country and almost all Scottish accents, for example. There are also some American accents that are non-rhotic, including the classic New York and Boston accents. General American English is rhotic, however.

Maybe in certain parts but generally we use 'r' . I certainly do.

And the British do it between words, too. Not sure why their linking consonant is R when it’s T in French which heavily influenced English, but here we are. In American English, we shift vowel sounds if they’re too similar or just say them as is if they sound different. British: The banana ris good. I have no idea rabout that. American: The banana is good. I have no idea about that.

Okay I repeated that back to myself a couple times. When we aren’t shifting vowel sounds when they’re similar, we also briefly pause in between or just run them all together. We are sometimes described as chewing our words in AE. So “I have no idea about that” actually comes out most naturally as “I have no idea ‘bout that” We don’t say the short a twice, in other words. Hope it makes sense.

If I understand it right, there's no significant difference to the pronunciation of the letter L. Fork, Torque, Talk: all sound the same.

Someone said to me "I bought my duter a BABI" Me: "what?💥! " Him: You know the "DUL" we went back and forth until I figured out what he meant was "Barbie" and "Doll"🥴 He said they have "SAME SAME" accent as british cause their country got colonized by Britain from 1858 to 1947. 🙄 Finally, I said : "Oh, match it with a ED DESS and Pink CA" He has probably seen this video😂
