I have a question for you. Does it send an ICS file on the appointment reminder whether it is via email or text so that the appointment can make it to the calendar of the individual and help improve the attendance rate

No, they need to add the appointment to their calendar. In my email template I have this noted at the top of my email "Your appointment has been successfully scheduled. Please click the "Color of your" button below to ADD appointment to your calendar.

Can you set appointments for either 45 or 60 min and still make them back to back, or arrange a certain buffer?

Yes, Acuity is very much still in business. Sorry to hijack the replies here. I am one of the few Certified Acuity Expert and admin in their facebook group.

I hate that they use the powered by for paid users. Kinda bs. If you pay for any service all advertising should be removed.

You can remove the powered by, just need to know HTML in the email templates.
