How to work with Tables in online version? I tried to use the formulas in online Excel tables, but I could not do simple addition on numbers in the Excel table. Any help here?

Can we use Vlookup function in this, from excel application to excel online i mean. Please reply with an answer.

Thanks for watching! You should be able to use VLOOKUP with Excel online however it's not as straight forward. You can’t select the range to look up from another spreadsheet. The simplest way to solve this is to import the required data from another workbook (Excel to Excel) and perform the Vlookup. you can also look up from another spreadsheet using the similar syntax: =VLOOKUP("lookup_value",'d.docs.live.net/spreadsheet-id/Docs/[spreadsheet-name.xlsx]sheet-name'!locked-lookup-range,column_number,match) You will find the spreadsheet-id of your Excel Online workbook in the URL bar. @@OnlineTrainingforEveryone thank you so much for clearing this doubt, I was going crazy because of this, Because I gave this idea to my team member to use browser excel and he he could not perform such look up functions and then I was the one to blame for such bad idea 😄 But now I can clear his doubt too

Thanks for the amazing video, but I have a problem on how to make protection from other users not to be able to edit cells or rows or columns in the excel online. I can't find it in the online version. Could you please help me?

Hi Halkawt, We cannot protect sheets in Excel Online, but we can do it if you have the Excel Desktop Version installed on your machine. Click on the button provided in Excel Online at the middle which says "Open in Desktop App", it opens the Excel in Offline Mode and there you protect your sheet, then close the Excel. The same protection setting will get apply to the Excel File when you open it Online. Remember one thing, you can unprotect the file in Excel Online, you have to unprotect it by again opening the file in Desktop App.

I have a read-only file (from a government agency) that I need to edit online because of incompatibilities with desktop excel. How can I change the settings if editing is grayed out as an option? Is it possible? Thanks in advance!

Excel spreadsheets may be Read Only due to their location. If the spreadsheet is on a network folder and you do not have appropriate network permissions to make make changes in the folder, the spreadsheet is Read Only. Spreadsheets sent as email attachments and previewed within the email program are also Read Only. Settings are grayed out because of the file being read only. Hope it helps. All the best!!!

Click the "Insert" tab > Locate the "Tables" group. Click "Table". If you have column headings, check the box "My table has headers". Verify that the range is correct > Click [OK]. U need a help If i had a date and i want to add days to find the new date Example : 29/8/2020 plus 23 days =? What's the date will be after 23 days , how i do that in excel. Thanks

How to subtract or add days to date in Excel As a cell reference =A2 + 23. Using the DATE(year, month, day) function, e.g. =DATE(2020, 8, 29) + 23. As a result of another function. For example, to add a given number of days to the current date, use the TODAY() function: =TODAY()+23.
