I have around 10h of the game, my first encounter was my first galleon run on open crew... Less than 4 hours after i joined an open crew most of the original crew left, when a new crew joined we picked up along the way a black snake with red details. Eventually it was just me and Sssteven the Snake. We would be jumped by a full galleon reape ship and i would take steven and my gold hoarders vault chest on a row boat. As we paddled into the rough and stormy sea i saw the ship go under and the reapers turning to my little vessel. And in that moment i decided to go down with my ship. I pulled my hurdy gurdy and played "Summon the Megalodon" as it was and still is my favorite song. And soon a meg did spawn as a storm overcame my row boat and the reaper galleon. I watched with glee as their ship was torn to pieces by the meg as i paddled away to sell my chest with my little snake friend. It wasnt till two weeks later that i found out mega had rarity and the moment i saw the shrouded ghost i knew it was her... The shrouded ghost is who avenged my ship, who saved me and Sssteven that dark and stormy day. I wish more than anything that i had known then to record, to show the craziness of that day... But all i can do is wait, wait and play her song when i have Sssteven with me.

@@EarlierPlane034 it was, and the event was cool. I was actually doing some fishing that day and a gold hoarder gallon rolled up on my solo sloop. Asked me to help them and I did till I died. That's a whole other thing though, and doesn't really count as a true shroud encounter.

I have around 500 hours and have the shrouded Ghost. Literally, we gathered random crews for the glitterbeard event. Literally, right before plunder valley, he appeared. It was my most awesome day in this fucking game❤

Defeated this meg after stealing a fort of fortune as soon as we left she popped. Homie said and I quote, "I think its the shrouded." Ever so calmly as if he was playing games with me... I then said, "shut the f*** up no it's not..." So I pulled out the spy glass and there she was. I couldn't believe it! Took her out and sold all the loot we stole from the FOF. Best day ever on SOT for me. Happy sailing!
