This is pure my opinion. After playing for about 3 years with my 4 accounts at different bracket levels, and each has Dota Plus. Two of them are tinker spam accounts and lc spam in the lower bracket =) If you have dota plus. Every recommendation that will be given to you, all of that is obtained based on the average presentation of each player in one related medal. For example herbal-guardog, guardog-crusadog, crusadog-archontol, archontol-legend, legend-ancient, ancient-divine, divine-immo plat. This applies to every item, hero, pick phase and counter pick, recommended heroes, and many features passed on by the dota plus system from player to player, who owns DOTA PLUS ... correct me if I'm wrong

You can actually left-click on the suggested item to get a choice of 3 that the game recommends you. That's where the Magic Wand is. Only thing is that each item comes with a percentage of recommendation (based on how many players build it, I think) and only the highest percentage shows in the bar. Yes, I'm a pay-to-win Dota Plus noob.

Maelstrom crystalis is one of the most common builds for me on ember. Sometimes orb but eh, you farm so fast and early game sof is so strong with the bonus 150 damage and having a crit on that, you wipe out supports so damn fast.
