Josh buzzed like at least 6 times without having the answer (by "6" I mean 2); I was glad to see this time he's got it (though he took his time to make sure he's getting the exact phrasing correct)

10:00 - You hear Mark saying "well that is near here" when the first clue came up, showing to the viewer who does not know, that Only Connect is recorded in Cardiff, Wales. They used to be in the ITV studio in Cardiff, but they had to move out when that studio closed, so I assume they record the series in the BBC Broadcasting House in Cardiff now.

What a weird moment at 8:42 - Paul Taylor, dude, not only are you on television, but you're also on a rather hard quiz... Shouldn't you be paying attention to the question, rather than picking the sleep out of your eyes and then staring at it in awe and examining it as if it were a miraculous present sent by God himself?

Me too, I thought the sequence was "order that HD versions of these channels were introduced", so the fourth clue would have been "BBC News 24".

Since the 'groups of countries' on that wall was so easy to find, the producers should have at least asked for a precise answer, meaning 'just groups of countries' should not have been accepted, because they are all economic groupings. That wall was definitely easier than the first one, because those 'rich businesspeople' were also an easy one. I feel bad for the Corpuscles losing based on that.
@dizzydazed80554 жыл бұрын
Cyprol is right here, that wall was far, far easier. Literally gave them a 5-point headstart, methinks there were some shenanigans going on to not allow a 'university' group to go through.
@SvobodovaEva3 жыл бұрын
Um, he did explain the group of countries with a lot of detail?
@cyprel3 жыл бұрын
@@SvobodovaEva Yeah, you're right. Maybe it's more that the group was just too easy, not that their explanation was entirely wrong. Though I do have to say it's a bit of a pet peeve of mine with OnlyConnect when a team is supposed to 'give the connection' and instead they start to explain what they know about each specific clue. That's not the question; they are supposed to just give a clear definition of the connection. I always feel like it's something teams do when they don't actually really understand the connection; they sort of hide that by talking a lot about individual clues until they've talked enough that the producers will give them the point. In this case, they were all groups with a specific economic status, and that would have been a more precise answer. But I do understand that they had to accept the given answer.
@vincentlevarrick6557 Жыл бұрын
It was a precise answer. He clearly identifies them as political or economic groups of countries. 23:36
