Drugstore prices are shooting themselves in the foot. Cover Girl foundation - the one with the beads, came out at $21+, the sales were dismal. They reduced the price to $12+, and it seems to be selling now. The same thing is going to happen with Revlon- they have to adjust prices to reality. And on the opposite side, HE makeup has gone beserk. Chanel blushes are $95, everybody thought that the rush in makeup (lipstick indicator) would yield millions. That ain’t happening. There will be an obligatory correction- or a lot of disappearing companies 🤓

I absolutely love that you (and another of my fav beauty KZbinrs @SteffsBeautyStash) compare all skin tints to the Wet N Wild! I have saved a lot of money because the Wet N Wild is a staple for me! I’ve been looking everywhere for that PF bronzing drops after seeing how beautiful and natural it is on you and I finally found it, and it is a dupe for the Kat Von D gel bronzing drops imo. A lot of them aren’t natural colors or don’t blend out w such ease. Highly recommend and thank you for recommending it! The one thing I think when I see cosmetic prices skyrocketing these past few years is this: How much has this company profited and how much money do the CEO and shareholders make, salary-wise, compared to how much the average worker in their factories make? I'm sure the difference is staggering. Corporate profits are at an all-time high, yet standards of living for the average person are at an all-time low. And what the general public has been told is "inflation" is merely corporate greed. And it's happening in all industries. It does give me pause when I purchase anything these days, whether it's something a person actually needs to survive, such as food and rent/mortgage, or something that merely contributes to happiness and mental health.

Shop MissA has some beautiful liquid blushes. So far I haven’t tested out their glowy drop foundation yet; but I really like their regular drop foundation (shades are hard, especially if you’re cool toned like me) but the blushes are very pretty. You may be able to find a dupe. I got the PR package as well and I was quite shocked with the prices! The skin tint is nice but that price.😳 The blushes will last for a very long time. But again…the prices! Goodness! Beautiful look at always, pretty Momma!

Drugstore prices have gotten insane. A $18 skin tint and a $14 blush is insane. If I wanted to pay those prices I’d buy high end. Just being able to buy groceries and pay my utilities leaves me with very little leftover at the end of the month. These brands need to understand their consumer base. Inflation is real and makeup is not a necessity.

Drugstore makeup need to know their place. If they keep increasing, then why should consumers buy their products and not just pay a few bucks more for high-end brands, not that high-ends are better, but from the price point perspective. Just saying🤷🏻‍♀️ Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.

I’m not buying the recent drugstore products. If you are charging me upwards of $20 bucks, I’m going more midrange like Clinique, Mac, etc.

❤❤ I love the drink packets, my husband and I have quit soda poo all together and just drink flavored h2o... If I'm sick I love sprite or 7 up and use the cherry 7 up flavor its soo good.. The cherry 7 up is good in water as well...❤❤❤

High-end has always been way over-priced and there are plenty of duds too--a bougie name and fancy package doesn't mean the product is better. That said, while drugstore is for sure improving on quality and prices are all up overall, there are limits--especially with newer products that haven't been widely tried and rated. If it's something I love that I know works for me then I can decide how much I'm willing to pay for it, but to pay that much to try something I might not like? Nah.

I love these videos - fresh looks with established, affordable products! I recently tried out the Supercharged Mascara from LA Girl. Whoa! I swear it gives me the longest, fluffiest lashes of everything I've ever tried, and it's 6 bucks!

Colourpop cannon dr is my favorite shade. I get asked a lot what shade I am wearing when I used it and gifted it to a friend. The L’Oréal is a bit expensive for sure. 😬 but thanks for showing it. ❤

I think that drugstore is still way more affordable than luxury, if that's all that your budget can handle, but I feel like makeup prices at the drugstore have really gone crazy!

Good for Belle. I grew up watching Little House. My 4th grade teacher read us the books which was cool, too. My sister hated the show. She called it, "Outhouse on the Prairie."
