Pretty weird texts... and in many other countries totally unthinkable that children's programs would talk about 'poop'.
These are Dutch language students of the BLC Dutch Summer School.
* Geitenbreier: there are a lot of different synonyms for the word 'geitenbreier'... In this video we mention: 'zeurpiet' and a boring grumpy person. But other synonyms are 'sukkel', 'lapswans', 'suf persoon'... etc. Originally it was a swear word, but later got a more positive connotation. Read more about 'geitenbreier' here:

wel nee. kleuters komen allemaal in de fase waar ze het opeens leuk vinden om woorden als poep te gebruiken, giechelend, omdat ze weten dat je dat misschien niet zomaar zou moeten zeggen behalve als je naar de wc moet. daarom was dat ook zo´n succes bij Ome Willem. En ik denk dat het nog steeds zal werken.

Wat mensen vaak vergeten is dat er wel degelijk meer achter zat dan alleen het rare en het onsmakelijke. Ome Willem noemde een paar normale dingen waar de kinderen mee instemden, en dan iets bizars waar de kinderen tegen protesteerden. Zijn hier meisjes? Zijn hier jongens? Is hier een krokodil? (Neeee!!!). Bloemkool (met een papje)? Ijs met slagroom? Broodje poep? (Neeeee!!! Bah, ome Willem, dat is vies, ome Willem!)

You bet it is. Have you ever heard the word freedom? We Dutch hate authority. It is there because democracy needs power, so we tolerate the authorities. We can think for ourselves. Name me fifty countries where the civilians are so polite to accept the authorities? In this violent world, most regimes only just accept the population. And that's often a taboo. Talk about it, and you are a dissident or a dead dissident. That is the "poo sandwich" about. We have no taboo. We can talk about everything. We can be critical about everybody. King included. You included. Get used to that. And yes, the Netherlands has many more narrow-minded people than ever, today, the extreme feeling of freedom is a bit hippy like. Accepting laws and rules is more normal than it used to be. The seventies, eighties were a special time. Remember?

I haven't used or heard the term "shit sandwich" for so long I had forgotten what it meant. I know a way of saying when everything is going bad, "everything is turning to shit." I imagine if your someone who has borrowed too much money and cannot make ends meet. Then you add family pressures due to all that then life could seem like a shit sandwich.

Every sentence that is on the blue screen is translated by the students... They gradually translate/guess it. As that is the whole idea of the video, we don't give the translation in the beginning.

It's from a song for children it contains weird questions to make the children laugh and scream 'No!'. Is there a crocodile in the room? Do you like to eat a poop sandwich? NO!!!! This fist on this fist is just like they show in the video some moves to make with the fists to show a climbing motion. A geitenbreier is like a slightly weird geezer or a dude. Joepie de poepie means yippee (the poopy). Poepie just rhymes with Joepie.
