One of the best burgers in Chicagoland is actually here in my hometown! It was named one of the best in all of Illinois actually! Crusades burger bar which is also known for its extravagant shakes!

Check out Au Cheval too! The wait is worth it. They own Small Cheval but highly recommend everyone has Au Cheval burger with the pork belly and fried egg. Omg

As someone from Chicago I feel like I should give you some tips. Deep dish is delicious and not overrated/ just a tourist thing, but it’s also not the best thing to get in chi town. Try it if you haven’t yet but I’d say it’s not the number one most necessary thing to get. Because at the end of the day it is still just pizza. You need to get an Italian beef dipped with giardiniera. Scatchells in Cicero has a great beef and can be seen in Wayne’s world for like two seconds lol. if you don’t want to make your way down there Portillos is certainly not the best beef in Chicago, but it’s a very decent and readily available alternative. It needs to be dipped for you to get the true experience. Chicago dogs are a perfect food and if you haven’t tried one yet you simply must. Portillos is also a good option for this one, but any place with “redhots” in the name would probably be better. Jibaritos are a huge sleeper item in Chicago no one talks about them, but definitely worth trying if you like plantains. Jibaritos y mas is probably the best place to get one, but you can find them in a lot of Hispanic restaurants. Rib tips are really good if you’re feeling bbq and can be found at a lot of different places. Not specifically a Chicago food but gyros in Chicago just hit different so definitely worth a try. There’s a large Eastern European population in and around Chicago so pretty much any place that serves that kind of food is a winner, but the red apple buffet is probably the king. If you want something sweet you can never go wrong with Italian ice, and I personally don’t like it very much but Garrett’s popcorn is very popular with tourists lol. Hope this helps!

You should come to “Closed in Sundays” In Teague TX my family owns it and we do smash burgers, loaded fries,salads,hot dogs,philly cheese steaks,chicken sandwiches,and bbq! And if you ask any body in our town where to eat they would say, Closed on Sundays, and we have home made buttermilk ranch And it’s so good 😊 And we do shakes, and malts And banana splits and hot fudge Sundays And our menu is on face book or google

The best burger I ever had in my life was also in Chicago. Circa 2009, I was in Chicago for a conference, and near the hotel where I was staying was Buddy Guy's Blues Club. One of my Professors I was there with invited me to go with him, and I had the Damn Right Burger at Buddy Guy's, and it was so amazing, we went back the next night. I highly recommend Buddy Guy's Blues Club if it's still there when next you visit Chicago. Go on a night where they have live music. May not be the best for filming, but it will be an experience you remember.
