I like this soloist’s voice very much; she is very expressive. There are a couple of recordings of this song that are really superb, and this is certainly one of them. The choir’s diction is extremely clear, which is very impressive. I always cry when I hear this song. It is sentimental, but we are just human beings; what does it all come down to but feelings in the end, and memory, and love? Only in sleep, time is forgotten: our lives are so short … peace.

Beautiful. Nothing in our life happens accidentally. I was just thinking about my childhood when I came across this marvelous song. It filled my eyes with tears and my heart with gratitude for a chance to be able to enjoy it.

I sang this in my advanced choir last year and it sounded really good. One of my best friends had the solo and she sounded beautiful

Only in sleep I see their faces, Children I played with when I was a child, Louise comes back with her brown hair braided, Annie with ringlets warm and wild. Only in sleep Time is forgotten- What may have come to them, who can know? Yet we played last night as long ago, And the dollhouse stood at the turn of the stair. The years had not sharpened their smooth round faces, I met their eyes and found them mild- Do they, too, dream of me, I wonder, And for them am I too a child?

This is a beautiful rendition of this piece, with congratulations to the sensitive singing of Jennifer O'Neal. However can anyone shed light on the sudden inversion of the image between 1.47 min and 2.48 min?

This was lovely, I wish the men had a few more members to balance the sopranos. They got drowned out a bit at times but this was really well performed. Restraint can be tough but they made it look effortless.
