Heard this on Classic FM and kept missing who it was by. Karl Jenkins in an amazing composer, and his Armed Man Suite, especially Benedictus, is wonderful. I absolutely love it. Thank you, Karl, the Benedictus lifts my spirits. 👌

I still remember the first time I heard this work. I was listening to Classic FM on my way from Pretoria to Johannesburg. The melody captivated me instantly. I have since listened to many versions, many different arrangements. I truly believe this piece (work..) of art comes from the heavens above! BRAVO!

Baritone and brass in heavenly communion: this is music of the profundest beauty, and more than that, it demonstrates that religious music remains inspiration for composition that stands proud by its own humble virtues, to compare with any, made alive by a superb choir and brass ensemble, not to forget the source of such creative genius, Karl Jenkins.

Look below for the comment 'this touches the soul' Yes this music certainly touches my soul, I believe it is the rhythm of the music, in harmony with our mind, with our soul, as our heart beats slows as we listen. If your lost, go back to church and sing your heart out and you will start healing. Your emotions may cry too, let that happen as it is also God looking for your soul, then finding you, God Bless.

I first heard this piece of music whilst watching a Scottish "soap" River City. The music was played during an emotional episode and I had to find out what the music was......I think the version without the brass is actually more effective and spiritual. But all a matter of taste, I prefer strings in an full orchestral piece. But this is excellent too......have a look at the video on here by keef1212 and let me know which version you prefer.
