Broderick and Brooks being in last episode is an obvious nod to The Producers, a story about failing a play on purpose to make money. But could that also be a red herring trap by the writers? Because it almost feels too easy to have it be a clue to point to Donna.

Yeah, you're right. But at this point, everything feels like a red herring. They made us too suspicious lol :) I still believe there were multiple murderers, maybe the producers (Donna) were the ones who poisoned Ben, and then someone else pushed him down the elevator shaft?

I've had my suspicions about Donna since around ep5, as she fits the theme of the mother protecting/rescuing her child. If Maxine's review from ep2 had somehow leaked & she learned about it, that would be motive for her to sabotage the play to prevent Cliff's first & most important production effort from being a flop. Donna's lukewarm response (she was the only one who did not clap) to Loretta's & Kimber's showstopping performance also made me feel there is something off about her. I recently read another poster's theory that Loretta could be Dickie's aunt and that Dickie's true parent's could be Babette & Oliver! Initially this sounded like a wild theory, but I'm starting to think it may be possible, because if the cut-out word from the Aunt Loretta Christmas card is "COBRA", that would likely mean Dickie is the sender of the card!

Might be way out there but we think it could be Teddy.... he vowed to get back at Oliver when he least expects it...lots of other little clues then his picture was in Ulmas closet. he was in the real play the Producers a clue?? I also think the theater will burn down opening night.... in previews it was stated this season was going to be a shocker... sooo maybe Teddy
