This is the maiden flight of Chinese 6th generation plane. The maiden flight usually focus on the aerodynamics capability and engine performance, not the onboard equipments. So, I have no idea why this guy talked this way. It makes him a fool like. BTW, there is already a report from Taiwan media that China will reveal their 7th generation plane this year. It is equipped a special reusable rocket engine, because in Chinese definition of the next generation war plane, it has to be able to reach the Karman line, which means to reach 100 km height becoming a space-air plane. And mach 4 at least. And once more, it just depends on if they can build the engine and integrate it to the air engines, not the weapons and other equipment. Because they have already deployed the world best radar system (able to find the stealth plane in 300 km away, lock the target in 100km, it’s 2 generations ahead US in technology terms) on their J20 and J16 a couple of years ago. And they have the US equivalent missiles, short range (PL17, 20km), mid range (PL15, 200km), and the long range (PL12, 400 km). They can just put these stuff in. That’s the easy part to develop a war plane actually. Being weak may not kill you, but arrogance will kill you.

They are not prototypes. Chinese prototypes are painted yellow. These generation 6 aircrafts are given numerical designations, painted in PLAAF colours, so they are actually preproduction models. They are at quite an advanced stage of development, and I am sure they will be mass produced in the next several years.

Wars are won with actual war machines not prototypes. Even the Americans will mostly trust their battle tested F16, F18 & F22 over untested F35. India needs to focus on next 5 years -acquire best battle ready systems & develop engine technology if it wishes to fulfill the AMCA dream.
