I often follow your rules but at house games always seem to lose. I'm percieved as someone who plays safe so whenever I value bet people mostly fold. Any advice how to improve and manage my strategy better?

An easy way to mix in those types of bets; when you see a pot limp around and you have a middling hand -- raise it. Get out during the flop if you need to (always be willing to get out of a hand). Splash around more and folks will soon realize you will call / raise in more places because you can't be getting decent hands every pitch.

Also, on the flop raise your strong draws like you would raise a set or two pair. Not everytime but it balances you out. All it takes at a home game is for people to see you bluff once and they think you're a maniac. With that said, you can use it to your advantage. If they're folding when you bet that sounds like a great table to work in some bluffs at. If you know what players think of you. Adjust and use it to your.advantage!

bb means big blinds. It is common to use bb as a unity of measurement. If you have less than 20bb you are short stacked. So basically you choose some hands to go all in pre flop due to equity

I'm terrible at reading the opponents hands in poker, ever time I raise pocket kings they turn pocket aces every time I got a full house they get a slightly higher one I don't know how to work out when they've got a better hand, like when I'm dealth pocket kings my stomach turns as I know the 3 of a kind will come for my oppo, just lost my full stack pocket aces against pocket 8s once again

4:05 what is you suggestion with broadway cards, suited or not, if you face a 3 or 4 bet preflop?
@je7055

Depends on the stakes, position, your hand, your HUD stats/reads on villains, etc., but as a general rule, players at the micros are usually too passive rather than too aggressive. If you open KQo from EP, get 3-bet from someone in MP, and then someone in the blinds 4-bets, it's probably time to fold. If you open AK from LP and get 3-bet by someone in the blinds, by contrast, they know you'll be opening a wider range, so you can flat to close the action and play heads-up with position; if you flop TPTK your hand's strength will be a bit under-represented. Depending on their stats/your reads on them, you can also 4-bet preflop if you don't mind the higher variance, but keep in mind you'll usually be 50/50 at best against whatever they continue with. Outside of the terrible bad LAGs, the 3-bet bluff preflop is a bit rare at the micros.

I loved the “for experienced players” part at the end. Was wondering if you could do a video for experienced players for small stakes tournaments? I’m trying to learn GTO but honestly I have found more success in small stakes tournaments using more of your tactics and was curious your thoughts on strategy for $10-$50 buy in tournaments? And if your strategy changes when running higher stakes tournaments. On $10-$50 tourneys I consistently find myself making deep runs but when I move up in stakes I seem to only be getting min cashes and wanting to know how to take my game up a level. Or if you have it in your class or book I’ll just get that 😊

But you already notice that you are contradicting yourself. First you say that a hand like 76s is a great hand to get all the chips from your opponent on a flop J83 if your opponent has top pair. Then you say AK, AQ, AJ are great hands to win a big pot with Top Pair Top Kicker, for example. In my opinion you should play AK, AQ, AJ (almost) all the time, but you should only expect to win small pots with them. AQ and AJ in particular often lead to the loss of large pots if played incorrectly. In your example with AQ vs KQ, you usually won't want to play a big pot - because in most cases you will lose the big pot to a flopped set or two pair. And that's exactly what you mentioned in your last example with 66 vs AK on a flop A63 rainbow. Suddenly Top Pair Top Kicker isn't that good anymore, is it? In summary, I can say that the hand range you listed (Suited Connectors, Broadways, Suited Aces, etc.) is certainly suitable for getting the most chips from our opponents, but these hands also have to be played depending on the opponent. For example, I would play AK on a board K63, but probably fold to a big turn bet or a big raise on the turn. But of course that's just my opinion Despite everything, a big thank you for your videos, which I find very instructive.

I would actually say the opposite. Many of these hands perform poorly, or don’t have the implied odds, when the effective stacks get short in tournaments.
