G-Hill and Penny i think r the ultimate "What If's" if you grew up in the 90s era. They were just that damn good smh. They were being talked about as carrying the torch in the 2000s. But as you mentioned, by the time G-Hill got it back together, the league had shifted to a whole 'nother cast of character's . Hill's 1st step and cross was sickkk...Also, Hill's sneaker line was crazy too...like Penny's...Straight classic's

@deonhill4417
@deonhill4417 3 жыл бұрын
@@dontdoittoyoself6786 Im a spurs fan and that free agency period it was basically a forgone conclusion TD21 was gonna go there not in the media but for those in th know. No disrespect to Mr. Glenn' Doc' Rivers all gms and owners should have shunned him the league. They had the deal done and you have to is dont fuck this up. Nah bruh in pure Doc Rivers fashion he blows the by not letting Tim Duncan fam/entourage travel with the team.If you have a chance to grab the literally best power forward of all time you do what is necessary to obtain him. This literally would have been the best big 3 in the history of the NB(let's say none of them gets injured). They could have challenged the Bulls 6 in 8. When you really sit back and take all the basketball politics out of the way ,Doc Rivers deadass killed 2 transcended Shoe in careers. You want proof peep this NBA fans, let's say TD21 gets his perks he wants and signs with Magic ,that makes 1.Grant Hill comes back 100% cuz you got young studs to hold it down while you heal up.2. T-Mac Isn't going straight goat mode putting the league on notice as one of the league most surprising /heir to Mike's throne. Member there was a debate who better between Kobe Bean and T-Mac and if we can keep all the way 100% it was Tracy clearly from a basketball player(If we any anonymous gm polled I guarantee 65%. of them would choose T-Mac. (T-Mac was taller 6-9 and could do everything Kobe could.(Take your fandom of Kobe's career and just use your head )And the two edges I give Tmac over Kobe T-Mac had to chuck up those shots because he was a solo act in Orlando, while Kobe had Shaq so technically Kobes career field percentage should have been higher cuz you got one the dominant force in NBA history(Some say Wilt but he left to much on the table Championship wise.Both Shaq and Wilt both left basically mad chips on the table* Cough Cough LEBRON JAMES lol. And number 2 basketball IQ. As talented Kobe was he made alot of fucked up decisions on the court.See 04' Finals. And a honorable mention T-Mac jumpshot was so fucking effortless. Modeled my game after him.So yeah man these are reason Doc Rivers is the most over rated coach in the history of the NBA. If I was aplayer a Doc's my coach im holding the fuck out. Get that far away from bench as possible. Joel Embid and Ben Simmons yall better watch that man. And basketball fans say Thibs kiilled DRose career and there some truth to that even though real ones know Drose killed his career by not learning how land. Nah budy DOC IS ALEGEND AT THIS SHIT.. If anyone reads this , sorry for the long ass essay but I had dive into this feet first cuz that's what cursed the Magic to deaths(Overall career talent accoldes and positions in NBA history) They could been what the Miami Heat was supposed to be and even better cuz neither of these Hall of Fame talents were"divas" and from a team building prospective they all complimented one anothers game perfectly. Doc would been in line with the greats Phil Jackson Gregg Popovich(Cuz its funny a couple years later Spurs win the chip. Hearing Grant tell this story kills me cuz this literally the biggest WHAT IFS in NBA history. No not OKC because these 3 were smart basketball players and in the early 2000's could have easily bet that Lakers team in the finals.
@deonhill4417
@deonhill4417 3 жыл бұрын
If im wrong I need facts to back up anybodies take on this. Tim Duncan goes on to win 5 chips with the Spurs.T-Mac joins the Spurs to ring chase and Ray Allen happened. G. Hill aka cuzzo gets to WCF with Phonx and gets within a bad Amare' big foot head ass over the line which literally cost them a chip. NBA had orders to follow.That year I just knew we was toast and a miraculous elbow by Big Shot Bob to Suns Mvp and leader Steve Nash to the tenth row.NBA should have le him off the hook but nah suspension and Phoenix lose to the eventual champs. Butterfly Effect on full display. Old saying goes'For every action there is a positive and or negative reaction. Doc literally ruined his championship window to only with Boston.That team was on auto pilot any body with a brain knew Boston was gonna win the championship. And really diving all the way in that team had Thibs DNA all over it. Defense leds to offense.That's the calling card for every Thibs team. Doc head go so big after that chip and media ate it up. Mofo is mediocre at best.All ways had at one Super star on each team he has coached and got one chip all these years. Miss me with him. He's the reason black coaches get an even shorter leash. P.O.S of a coach

One of the best what ifs. I swear he was on pace to becoming a decade long superstar. Great choice in G Hill. In a way he was a diet Lebron James so to speak, because in his prime he was a walking triple double as a 6,8 ft wing like Lebron. Could handle ,pass, score and rebound very similar and just a notch below a LBJ. I don't ever remember a narrative of Grant Hill being called soft or that he was milking his injury. I do remember the narrative of him not being black enough, though, but other than that, the man had unanimous approval and everyone wanted the best for him.

The shot Laettner hit with 2 seconds against Kentucky sent Duke to the Final Four where they still had to beat a great Indiana team then face the Fab 5 of Michigan. Common mistake made. Other than that, this was a really cool video. As a life long Duke fan i give it a thumb up...
