Anyone have an idea why the legend never worked in any other tv serial in his lifetime ?

Umer Sharif was banned on PTV for over 15 years of his earlier career, he started working on tv only after the first channel NTM was launched in 1990. Since he was very busy working on stage, it was difficult for him to put in long hours for shooting of tv dramas.
