There is an interesting background story of this serial Parda Na Uthao. Umer Sharif was banned by PTV for 16 years, in the meantimehe explored stage and became a big star but never looked back to work on television.
When the first private tv channel NTM started in 1990, he appeared in many shows on NTM as stand up comedian. He then worked with Producer Rashid Khawaja & director Nadeem Baig and wrote his first and only drama serial "Parda Na Uthao" and acted in it as well. PNU was a private production which was launched in September 2000 on PTV World.
