When speedrunning, this seems like the kind of game that's easier to play. You just run a single route over and over refining little things here and there. It's also relatively short. Compare that to like an RTS speedrun. Often 2+ hours of non-stop intensity.

Oh.... Did they remove waifu skip from this run? That's a shame. I remember the developer got in a spot of bother for using certain assets. Also looks like boat skip is gone too? Crazy run though, that dino skip was hype as hell

I really feel like Only Up should not have been approved by the GDQ team. The game is packed with stolen assets. Even after all the patches and updates the entire game was eventually delisted largely due to the number of stolen assets. This game is not some deliberate art piece like Getting Over It, it is an asset swap that got a little exfra attention from the developer because it got popular.

I did some research on this, and that seems to be false. Looks like the dev removed the game because of burnout and community pressure to change the game in a way that wasn't within their vision. Literally nothing but 1 article says that it was because of copyright, and in that article they even state they aren't sure if that's the actual reason. The dev made a community post before the removal stating that he was going to delist it in the coming days, and then it was delisted.

@@voleN- On the wikipedia page for the game, several articles are cited including one that points out a particular model, Blanket in the Wind, which is under a CC Non-Commercial license with the artist themselves, Aboulicious, indicating the theft in a tweet translated from the original German. Apparently, even certain sound effects like the FFVII Fanfare sound could be heard in the release build, though I haven't been able to verify this at the moment. So there was at least some copyrighted material in the game at release.
