Those shots from Applecross were incredible. This series is why I love this channel. You don’t need a $200,000 supercar to go out and explore and enjoy the ride. Also even though there isn’t much of it, the way you film cooking is terrific.

It‘s timing and experience. Been doing that for years - filming on busy roads making them seem empty. No CGI btw, and honestly not that much time. We spent maybe half an afternoon on that sequence, and a lot of that was down to actual composition and the light changing.

It blows my mind how talented you are in making these short films. Some of the shots I don't even understand how can you capture while you are driving. For example the low angle-tracking-gimbal shot at 6:44. Great stuff man!

Those tracking shots were recorded on a separate day about a week after we first went there and we had a third person to drive the white 205 while I was filming out the back.

Wow wow wow, ich bin total begeistert. Hab mir die Folge extra aufgehoben, um sie am Abend bei schönem Ambiente zu gucken. Da kommt ne wahnsinnige Stimmung auf! Zugegeben, ich habe dich erst vor ein paar Tagen hier auf KZbin entdeckt und bin seither dabei, alles alte nachzuschauen. Lange nicht mehr so gefesselt gewesen...mach weiter so! Ich hab schon festgestellt, du redest nicht so gerne über Kameras, dennoch ist mir aufgefallen, dass in vielen deiner Videos ein meist ziemlich starker roter Glanz an den Kanten harter Kontraste auftaucht, ein bisschen wie Aberrationen - speziell bei den Resto-Videos vom Peugeot ist's mir aufgefallen. Das ist sicherlich Geschmacksache, aber mir gefällt das mega gut. leider komme ich aber nicht drauf, wie das entsteht. Würdest du mir das vielleicht verraten? Danke für die Inspiration durch deine Videos, ich freue mich ab sofort auf alles Zukünftige...🫶

Danke für die netten Worte - das sind Halations, angelehnt an den Effekt hoher Kontrastkanten in Filmen wie Cinestill 800T. In meinem Fall allerdings digital in der Farbkorrektur hinzugefügt.

Having driven here it really is that dramatic and vast. Your drone shots put everything in stark realistic scale. I think the Quiraing is always damp. But the best road in Scotland is supposed to be the NC500. Are you doing that next?

The NC500 is a combination, not really a specific stretch. I think Applecross pass is already part of it - and to be fair, there is lots and lots of good tarmac to be found anywhere along the western coast.

Hey - the look is crafted in Resolve - grain and some of the look comes from Dehancer. Takes a while to colour these.
