If you have something like a generator setup inside one will it continue running if you pick up the compact machine?

I don't believe so. It has to be placed in the world, it won't run in your inventory.

@@OnlydravenGaming Can I make my inventory inside it and pick it up and go wherever I want with it and still access it after I put down ?

@@nox6098 Yes. Anything inside, including inventory will be accessible wherever you set it down. Word of warning though, if you die or lose it, you’ll lose your entire inventory. Be careful. 😉
