I caught salmonella from a 5 star rather newly opened place on their opening day. Worst 7 days of my life. I’d rather pass a kidney stone than go through salmonella again fever, sweats, projectile vomiting, firing both ends to the point I was hallucinating. I was living off …. Needless to say when I was electrolyte drinks to try and stay hydrated. Fortunately after I was diagnosed by my Drs, I was sent a loooooong questionnaire from the council. Fortunately they managed to pinpoint what went wrong and it came down to lack of hygiene training for 1 member of staff. They also lost their 5 stars.

Whilst I have empathy for the foreign workers who have been treated abominably, I cannot help but think that they knew they were coming into the country illegally. The wages and conditions in their own countries are appalling, so it's easy to see why they are so willing to come. This situation needs to be stopped.

My high school chemistry teacher worked in a hot dog/frankfurter factory in his highschool and college years. After that, he could no longer eat a hot dog/frankfurter much less look at it.

The only time I've had salmonella, I got it from the hospital. It's a terrible illness.

Some people think that salmonella is inside the egg 🤣😅😂 I stopped eating processed meat, period. Chick peas and eggs are excellent and healthier source of what meat can offer. If meat then mostly turkey or chicken Sardines are my friends ( GOYA sardines that is ) especially in lemon oil Fermented food is amazing , soups of course cooked from the scratch . Once a month some fast food or restaurant food because I don't want to be a maniac 😅😂
