Thank you for showcasing this on true 4c hair. Too many of us 4c girls get bamboozled into thinking products that work for looser curls will automatically work on us and we see that’s not always the case.

@@OnlyOneJess This is exactly how my hair looks after I put my product in. The back of my hair is totally different than my sides and top. They are definitely 4c and I just hate. I didn't realize that I have 4c hair until I watched this video. I need help. I can't get my hair to do nothing unless I put perm rods or something in it. Any advice?

At the same time he has 4c hair but everything depends on his porosity. If he has high porosity doesn’t mean she has to spray tons of water on his hair for the products to penetrate unless he has low porosity

As a 4c member, the white residue is usually do to our low porosity, so maybe a drier afterwards may help. If there’s still some left, it’s just too much product.

I have 4c hair and I usually still have product or "residue" still visible in my hair for several hours after the application of the product due to my hair's low porosity nature. I just leave it to dry in my bonnet over night, and even then it will take a few more hours to finish dying and for the product to absorb. Love the content btw! 😊

Hair “type” pattern isn’t the real issue u have low porosity hair trying rinsing (once a week) or washing hair at least every 1-2 weeks. Miele pomegranate line is a good. It’s good to use a blow dryer or hooded dryer until hair is 80% dry or fully dried. Use light oils like shea NUT oil. unless doing hibernating styles. Try to use moisturizing products and less protein conditioners and leave ins until the end of the month (deep conditioners) until you have at least learned how to add protein in your regimen.
@Lisamarieliza
@Lisamarieliza 3 жыл бұрын
Btw my hair stylist gave me this regimen but every wash (shampoo) visit we run the water on my for at least 8 mins then gently shampoo scalp then condition then for 3 mins we rinse out product and my 4b/4c coils clumps together with light raking under the water Then she adds leave in, gel, and a little oil at the end . And hair products she uses are from avlon and Kera care

I think this came out really good with the creme and the gel. As someone who has hair similar to him, I can say he may have low porosity hair so the products may not have fully penetrated the hair shaft. This doesn't mean he can't use these products at all but he may just need to use less and work it in more. Another tip is after styling to pat off some of the excess product with a microfiber towel. Also drying the hair with a hooded or blow dryer can help. I think going over it with a little oil after can help too.

Hi final results came out great. I have 4C hair as well. The trick for a great wash n go when you have 4C hair is great moisturizing products and/or max hydration. Try your max hydration method first and then use the products. For my max hydration I use 1) great moisturizing shampoo 2) great moisturizing deep conditioner 3) clay mask treatment. After that Eco Olive is my go to gel and has yet to let me down.

I'm 4c, if he lets you do it again, use the lan-o-lin oil 1st. Also, as you noted, the more product in 4c hair, the longer it takes to dry. But I did like the pop in in curls. 4c people really look for definition without a noticeable dryness. And when people know their own hair, they know if they need to do more or less. I watch your channel because of your personality. Keep that pleasantness about you.

Yea from my personal 4c head experience you def need a cream and a gel. Also you get better clumping in our hair from a tool (comb/brush, etc) than shingling.

This video is so important because many of these products advertise "for all natural hair types" or "type 4" but never actually show the product on "all hair types". I like the result because I know what my 4c hair is supposed to behave like after years of disappointment (loll) but also really good results. But reality is a lot of people don't know what type 4 hair (especially 4c) hair looks like because we never see it. I won't buy this product based on the residue problem but I think without that issue, it worked really well on his texture.

i AGREE completely with all you just said. i feel like 4c gets excluded a lot when products say for type 4 hair and its disappointing.

Hey Jess, I also have 4c hair and I never saw definition in my curls until I started using bentonite clay. I don’t do wash and go’s often, but if I’m going to, I always do the clay mask first because it saves me from having to use too much product to force my curls to pop. I know you just moved two hours away from him, but that could help for next time! Good luck with everything. And thanks for the video!

Try the cream first then the oil the the gel for hold next time. The lanolin may have been prevent the hair from observing the cream. Lanolin oil uses Many products that contain lanolin oil also contain humectant ingredients like aloe, honey, or glycerin. Humectant ingredients actually pull moisture in from the air. Lanolin itself is not a humectant. It can trap water once skin and hair is moist, however. Lanolin is classified as an emollient and an occlusive moisturizer, which means it has the ability to slow water loss from the skin.

Silent viewer here...Girl yes after 5 hours their will be white residue.. Especially with low porosity 4c hair. It takes awhile for products or moisture to absorb in our hair. My hair takes 2 1/2 or 3 days to dry and in some areas on day 2 I'll still have a white residue but by day 3 I'm all clear. Sometimes on day 2 I'll spray a lil extra water n the areas that need it n rub the products in some more just in case.... You did great and used the right amount of products. I suggest use more water next time just to be safe n clear of white residue.. 💙💙

@@OnlyOneJess Our hair type takes a lot of product trust me.. N yes I don't have patience myself but the only time I put heat to my hair is when I'm blowing it out for trims.. For a faster drying process I go sit outside for about 45 mins to an hour..
