The moment you stop stressing about length and just put your heart into caring about the hair that you already have on your head is the moment you see growth. I used to absolutely obsess about growing my hair and then one day I decided that I was just being absolutely ridiculous. It's just length, it's not that serious, worry about the hair you have first. So that's what I did, I started truly putting in the work and when I look at my hair a year ago, to where it is now, my strands have definitely paid me back for that work.

There is dimethicone in the TGIN deep conditioner. It coats the cuticle in order to help smooth it out and give it shine, however it is not water soluble therefore you will need a good shampoo to wash it out. I use both a satin pillow case and bonnet. It feels good on my skin, period.

Yesssss hair! Your hair looks beautiful and healthy, sis. Genes do play a role in hair growth in all races, but until you take care of your hair you have no idea of what it can do. When I was a teen I thought my hair didn't grow long, meanwhile I was putting heat on it every single day, with a relaxer and sometimes color. Basically just stressing my hair all the way out😭😂! Knowing how to take care of our hair as Black women was stripped away from us...I'm so glad we are relearning how to care for ourselves. When other Black women are in awe of my hair I just let them know they can do it too with a little care. It's not a rarity .One of my favorite things is when random Black men compliment all this 4C goodness. We can capture attention out here being us, we don't have to straighten, wig or weave it up to do so. Nothing wrong with those things...just some Black women feel less beautiful without them and thats far from true.

Big chopped my daughter's hair (12yr old) the same time she did. I actually showed my daughter her big chop video to convince her she will still look beautiful 😍. We cut about the same amount she did because of her heat damage. We do protective styling mostly and low manipulation styling and my daughter's hair looks like it has grown all of her inches back. We do not wash weekly more like monthly. Deep condition every other month and her hair is back like it has never left. For my daughter's case I think genetics play a key role because we just don't have that much time nor patience to wash 4c hair on a weekly bases and it's working just fine for us. So, I think genetics can play a role but if you do the right things I think anyone's hair can grow and retain length. Good luck you guys!

@ramoyarichardson58233 жыл бұрын
Her hair naturally grows fast and she's retaining most if not all her length. I started watching her in October 2020 and my hair was s little longer than hers but now she passed me out now lol. I've been natural for 7year( I just never cared about hair until may 2020) and it's almost a little below arm pit length. My hair breaks easily so I'm learning patience. Your hair is growing, I suggest you revisit your routine and method also check to see if it is breaking off faster than it is growing.

@@ramoyarichardson5823 I don’t suffer from breakage. I use to get protective styles a lot and keep that in for two weeks at a time and my hair was growing like a weed but i stopped bc it required me to blow dry my hair straight every time I was about to get it done and I started to get some heat damage on the ends which wasn’t bad so I trimmed that off but I stopped in July of 2020 and just started developing a natural hair routine literally this past September lol

Genetics play a part in hair growth. However if you are really struggling you can check a doctor of internal medicine or Dermatologist. My hair grows slowly as well but I'm anaemic and I dont follow through on my medication ever. I also have some hormonal hair loss at the front. But I'm getting there. I rarely oil my scalp doctors orders. Hope you enjoy your hair journey and get the results you want.

When you finally figure out what works for your hair that's when you'll probably see some big changes. After learning about hair porosity I started using products that were made for my hair type and now my hair is thicker than it's ever been. There was a lot of trial and error and I've still got a long way to go to get back to my ideal length but I am most certainly headed in the right direction. By doing your research, keeping your hair routine consistent and taking steps to ensure length retention I don't see why we all can't have hair that's dreamy! It's possible but not without hard work! We can do it!

Two of my staple leave-ins are Creme of Nature Coconut Milk Curl Repair ($6.99 @ Target) and Pattern Beauty ($25 @ Ulta, but $10.99 at Marshall's). Is it working
@sheilaw19833 жыл бұрын
@@chickwitthagoodies I think it is. but I also have a wash and protective style routine that I stick to while taking shedavi vitamins so it could be that too.🤷🏾♀️

Good to see u back. Consistency is so true and just as hard to live by. Thanks for the encouragement. I purchased the Wild Growth Oil months ago with the intent on doing right by my strand's and don't. That oil has only touched my scalp three dang times!! Mad at myself. Extremely delighted in ur growth and smile in the video. Continued blessings to u and urs.

Looking good... I’ve started to stretch my hair with my twist outs... I love showing my length. And I like the Miche polishing oil and leave in as well. But Taliah Wajjjid is my staple. Thanks for the update!!!

Great video sis, I don't use heat at all and I leave my braids, crochet etc in for 2-3 months, I have slow growth but the styles are what help with my hair growth. Totally love your hair and you're so beautiful.

@@OnlyOneJess 😊 My hair is very fine (if the average person has 3.6 billion hair follicles then I have 500,000-not really but someone knows my struggles lol) and it's like moving the earth to get volume lol. I have accept my hair is not going to be voluminous lol.
