Here’s the description of dOra maar in case you’re interested: “OnlyOneOf, who started as a dot and drew a line and is proceeding to a surface, prepares ‘surface’ by standing between line and the surface through [unknown art pop 2.1] A single-track ‘dOra maar’ was based on a real person who was a muse and also the fifth lover of Picasso as it is mentioned in the subhead. Dora maar’s self was a photographer and an artist as well. Dora maar drummed up her passion after she met Picasso and pulled herself out of her slump, holding a brush in her hand. Dora maar, who stayed as an eternal muse of Picasso even after a break up with Picasso. OnlyOneOf’s dOra maar is not a random symbol but rather focused on the love of Picasso in various colors, and this was already presented through a track called ‘Picasso’ in their debut album [dot point jump]. You're gonna have fun at the concert - Mill engages a lot with the audience, he's like a hype man. KB is the English king, he throws back English slang to the audience. Junji is a flirt, watch out for him. Rie flirts or does cute, he chooses when. Nine and Yoojung are super fit, they're so lean and muscular. Hope you get a light stick - and freebies from lyOns. There are always lyOns who give out freebies.

Came here at the speed of light as soon as i saw this new reaction had been uploaded ! Totally agree with you on the fact it's a shame some songs like "dOra maar" or "chrOme arts" don't have actual MVs... when thinking about it, OnlyOneOf don't have many official MVs for their songs compared to some other groups. The b-sides are delivered as video performances, dance practices or official lyric videos at best. For "dOra maar", we have the performance video that you saw and an official lyric video. By the way, to answer your question on "dOra maar" lyric "i want to see the 100", it means seeing the 100% of this person they talk about in the song (aka Dora Maar) : as other lyOns already explained in the comments, the song talks about the story of painter Pablo Picasso and his muse and lover Dora Maar, told through the perspective of Picasso (hence the lyrics "oh my Dora" and "you're just my grieving model" along with the numerous references to painting and artistry - and especially the lyric "weeping woman" which is literally the english title of a portrait of Dora Maar painted by Picasso). In the song, the narrator says that he wants to see his muse/lover in their entirety, in their 100%, even when the muse is crying because of pain, sadness and depression... all for the purpose of art, of painting his muse from every angle and of making the muse into a masterpiece. The narrator also seems to find satisfaction in the act of controlling and sculpting his "Dora" into this perfect work of art, by presenting himself as a dominating and almighty figure who can do whatever he wants to his piece of art : it deals with the topics of domination and toxic relationships among other themes. As someone already said in the comment section, a lyOn KZbinr named LOU has actually made a great video about the song's possible meaning, you can check it out if you'd like to know more ! Also completely agree that "dOra maar" and "suit dance" would work perfectly performed back to back on stage ! "suit dance" is from the same album as "skinz" and "gaslighting"... really love the hairstyles of the members for this area ! KB's slightly longer hair in a ponytail/low-bun, Rie's peach hair, JunJi's long and wavy hair... like, everyone looked so good ! About the comment you made on this vocal fry the boys are singing with sometimes... this is something i find so interesting about OOO. The members very often sing with adding effects in their vocals, such as these sorta vocal fry, unexpected intonations and softer tones, but also lots of breathing (and straight-up moans and whispers at times). This is a singing style that's very distinct and that i think i never really heard from other boygroups (at least not used to that extent). It's like OOO's singing trademark and i find this wonderful. imo, their general vocal style sounds more similar to a kind of style you would traditionally expect from some girlgroups. Finally, loved seeing you tripping over Mill and his attacks x'D that guy is a menace for sure, such a talented and attractive man. Completely understand you, personally even after all these months i'm still not over Rie popping his chest like there's no tomorrow in "gaslighting"... love everything about this song, from the freakin choreo to the production of the track and its dark energy... honestly, love these 4 songs and choreos so much that it's impossible for me to pick a favourite. There are also other video performances and dance practices which i can't leave out of my top fave, such as "bOss" or their iconic reprise of the japanese song "Cheating woman"... their dance/vocal covers of "MONEY" (song by Dawn) and "Dolphin" (song by Oh My Girl) are also amazing ! Really recommend you to check these out as well in reaction videos or in your own free time if you're interested... think you won't be disappointed >:) Thanks again for these nice reactions ! It's so cool to see you vibing to the choreos as well... seems like you'll be very much enjoying the performances at the concert x'D and it's also great to get these additional reactions before you dive into the "undergrOund idOl" project (aka the solo songs of each members) and their newest MV "seOul drift". I'm really enjoying your reaction vids! I'm seeing them in LA April 30th and I was able to get tix for the Snapshot photo sessions (take a Polaroid with each member) that takes place after the concert. I was only able to get photo session tix with KB, Rie, and Mill. Also, chrOme arts is sung in Japanese and there is a chrome hearts version in Korean/English lyrics in another video with subtitles (the white outfits).

I read in a lyric analysis that "the 100" in dOra maar in korean sounds a lot like "your back" in english. Don't know if it's intentional or not, but it fits a lot the theme of picasso and dora toxic relationship and how he objectifies her AND the moves in the choreo. Loved your slow descent to regret about your location ticket 😆 Also I really appreciate your comments on the production!! You have a really nice way around words to express the mood and sounds :)

Omg so we're almost in a similar boat haha. Good thing for me is the venue they're playing at here is seated - which means we all have our own reserved spot which I like. And although I'm in the back, it's still a pretty great view all together. Where did you see them?

@@marcogennuso I saw them in Chicago and was EXTREMELY lucky that the venue layout was suited really well for even just being GA standing. They had a pit right in the front by the stage then a bit further back there was a few steps up to a slightly higher tiered ring where there were booths in front and back and a wide walkway (standing area) between. I ended up standing right behind one of those booths so I was elevated a bit above the pit and only had one person at my level directly in front of me. SO lucky that was the venue. The only one I've seen on the tour with a better layout was Mexico City (bc I almost was crazy enough to spend a whole bunch of money trying to see them again...but didnt lol). Theirs looked really good too! I hope you enjoy seeing them! The show was great!

If they perform dOra maar live it will be the English lyric version, which is arguably a crime against the English language. Look, I love OnlyOneOf and fully respect and appreciate that they took the decision to have an English version of one of their most popular songs to perform for international audiences. I adore them for that. But to give the rewriting of the lyrics to a competition winner was a mistake. It's ruined the whole meaning and feeling of the song. I refuse to listen to it, it just doesn't exist in my world. This version - the original - is the real masterpiece.
